We don't really hear much here about the Pacers, they are playing pretty well right now. What do you think they could do in the East, at least 2nd round?

Who will they play in the POs?

Nice story but yeah, 2nd round ceiling.

They will get raped by the Heat in 2nd round

Depends on their bracket. Pacers are a goodish team but I don't think they'll beat a team like Chicago or Miami in a seven game series. It'd be nice if they could take out the Heat though.

imho I thought they were second round fodder for awhile, but the team looks like they could be a darkhorse Finals team. I wouldn't bet on them but they have so many weapons it's hard to just count them out.

They remind me of the 08-09 Nuggets

With George Hill, they are a powerhouse.

But tbh, I like Heat-Pacers second round, they give heat some problems so maybe they can take them out. :lol who am I kidding though

I agree, and I also really like how Granger fortifies Barbosa out there. The sky's the limit for this franchise.

Hibbert has every tools to be Bynum's level of low post domination, but he only shows it once in a blue moon, especially defensively. He will be the difference maker for that franchise, whether they will realize the potential, or become a perennial playoff but non contending team.

I wonder if he'll pull another disappearing act in the playoffs.

Pacers will give any team 4-5 hard games

They'd have a punchers chance of taking out Chicago provided Rose isn't fully healthy. Can't see them beating the Heat though unless Hibbert and West have a monster series and the Heat's bad play continues into the playoffs.

They could go to the ECF or Finals. They are probably the dark horse team in the East.

Agree.

They have a chance to test them agaisnt the Bulls before playoffs. And they could send Chicago to the 2nd seed.

The best thing the Pacers have going for them right now is that they will likely get to play the Magic in the first round, and they will probably sweep them and be well rested.

We match up very well against Chicago with or without rose, not so well against Mia, however our post presence and their lack thereof could be a difference maker. We havent been getting much press this season, well because its indiana, If NY had the record we have, we wouldnt be hearing about anything else on ESPN. I'd be lying if I said this team didnt exceed my expectations this year, we also still have alot of cap space to resign our guys and possibly make a run at an all star ( but who wants to play in Indy right)? The sky is the limit for these guys, We'll see how it goes

Can you imagine how low those ratings would be if we had a Spurs/Pacers series? :lol

I'd love it just to see Stern wet his diapers.

Tbh the Pacers are still reeling from the Malice at the Palace. That incident killed basketball in Indiana, and 7 and half years later, they're just starting to recover from it. They are heading at the right direction.

He might just as well kill himself because that's going to be suicide for the NBA.
