Yes. Because he sells. Whether his level of play has dropped off or not, he's relevant, sells tickets, sells jerseys, gets TV ratings, and keeps Kobe fanbois and Kobe haters like you alike talking about him even when he's not playing. He's one of those pro athletes who can carry a franchise with his celebrity as much as with his play. If he wasn't worth it, you wouldn't make so many threads and posts about him. He sells. That alone makes him worth it.

The NBA is a business. That's absolutely part of a player's worth, particularly a max franchise player. It cant be ignored. As long as the Lakers stay relevant and sell, Kobe is worth the money. If his level of drops ends up negatively affecting the Lakers' ability to sell, then he'll start not bring worth it.
Chasing championships don't always end up with winning it all. Take the Spurs for example. They haven't won a title in 5 years. Does that mean their highest paid players aren't worth their salaries? No. As long as a team wins and legitimately competes and sells tickets, most of the time that's enough to make those highest paid players worth the money. Its about the product on the court AND the ability to sell.

Yes it's worth it because all those Kobe nuthuggers that live in the cesspool that is L.A. county will continue to buy his merch. They will continue to pay the most expensive tickets and fee's in the Nba. This will continue to drive the "value" of the team up and buss can continue to loose millions playing poker with Larry flint.
It's Show Business and the illusion that is KOME Bryant is enough to get all the Hollywood elite down to the forum to be seen.

Kobe brings in more than he takes, tbh. If he were to be traded, there are some teams that might consider it based on the possibility that he will put their franchise under the media microscope.

Quick question. Wasn't it your buddy lakaluva who said "real men don't wear pink?"
Your manhood gets called into question by your own homey and you still have his back like a good little soldier? How does it feel to be bitchmade, Kool?

When you look at the cap and bringing guys in, the salary is egregious, however; the marketibility, endorsements, cache, world renown and he's pretty much the face of the NBA it's definitely a sound investment. He's regressing and will continue to do so. Once he starts to buy in to Bynum and Sessions as the youth the Lakers will be fine. Will he do so, as history has shown are in spurts it's a waiting game.
There is no one in the NBA like Kobe. There are better players at this stage of his career, but no one is as important in the scheme of things.

Did you not see Kori's thread to Cully and by ext Kool......She was supposed to have un Pinked me by now according to her own rules...But she cares that I called her lame...she's taking my very minor criticism of her personally. She wants to show me and Cully that she's in Control....and what she doesn't realize is that I love being dominated by her hands...she's just using you guys to do her dirty work so that TimVp doesn't get alarmed at the back and forth between us..She cares what I think about her...and that's more than enough for me...

I sure did. Here's the thing... I once let this bitch handcuffs me and she fucked around and put her panties over my head. Under normal circumstances id never agree to that shit. But what can you do when you're cuffed and getting fucked.
:lol
And so if Kori's gonna fuck me with them cuffs on I'm gonna grin and bear it.

Yes, Kobe is worth his contract. He is still the best or second best shooting guard in the league. He is currently leading the league in scoring. When you take into account all he has accomplished for his franchise, on top of his international popularity, he is worth every penny. Given that money is not really an issue with the Lakers ownership it is really a no brainer.
