Unreal the moves Pop and the Spurs have made adroitly to make this skilled manchild (who guaranteed a win tonight) earlier rebounding performance,i.e., 30 boards, look like an aberration after his 7 boards last game and 2 tonight so far.

Thank Tim for that.
It was Tim and Tiago that kept him from getting on the boards early.

Yes but it was really Tim who kept him in check tbh.

I'd have to rewatch it but this is what I remember as well. I think Tiago/Diaw were mostly on Gasol but I'd say that them being able to check Pau allowed Tim to really focus on beating Bynum up and down the court.

This. :lol

30 + 7 + 2/3 = 13 per game not far from his season average - who would have thought of that after he destroyed Blair in tap volley/basketball ball the first game? Spurs have to feel better about the matchups now and Diaw also a big part of this - what a pickup!

Also of note: Andrew Bynum had exactly 28 fewer rebounds than he did here last week, Pau Gasol was pretty much a no-show (11 points on four-for-10 shooting) and Sessions had his worst game with the Lakers.
The Lakers (40-24) are now 1-4 against San Antonio and Oklahoma City, the top two teams in the Western Conference. Average point differential in the losses: 17.3.
Few of the Lakers seemed overly concerned Friday. Bryant said he felt agonized only by a ridiculous hat worn by a reporter. Metta World Peace complimented a reporter on having pink toenail polish that matched her shirt.
Gasol was a little more irritated.
"We want to treat each and every one of these games like a playoff game and [Friday] it would have been a very bad playoff loss," he said.

The LA Times link loads (for me) a video about Dirk returning to Germany after winning the championship last year, and he is presented as "NBA MVP 2011". Great stuff.
