This isn't in regards to the fact it was over the Lakers or the fact it was a blowout by the end. Instead this was the game that showed the Spurs true potential.
You had a balanced attack from the Big 3, each of them mastering their respective roles. Duncan was mobile and efficient on offense while stepping it up on defense. Parker had the offense running like a well oiled machine. And Manu was Manu, lighting passes and all.
The first half this game could have gone either way so this wasn't some blowout from the 1st quarter on. Not to mention in the 2nd quarter the Spurs had a bit of a drought offensively but met the challenge in the 3rd.
Leonardo wasn't super effective on Bryant but he kept with it and at least made Kobe earn his points. Green was a pesky help defender and did his job in the offense. On top of all that you've got the intensity and effort from Splitter, Diaw, and Jackson.
The fact this was against the Lakers will hopefully give them confidence in the playoffs, not just against the Lakers in particular, but also against big and more physical opponents.
This was a quality win all around
