Kobe is one of their best cash cows and they need him to succeed. to the casual fan or anyone reading the headlines online or in newspapers the media knows that probably 90% of them are not going to read every detail. so as long as they show Kobe's points scored and/or make up an excuse for him everything is all good and he will still sell a lot of shoes in China.

NBA.com had an article where they (inadvertently) lied about the Spurs-OKC season series, claiming that it's tied at 1-1.

ESPN made a couple of references about Hollinger power rankings, claiming that the Spurs are a solid rank 2 despite the fact that they've been 1st for quite a while now (save a small dip to 2nd after the Utah forfeit and L.A. loss).

Listening to Reggie Miller when the Spurs blew out the Lakers last Friday was the best, though. Near the end of the game, he said something to the extent of
