:lol Thunder. They're beginning to remind me a lot of last years Spurs team, albeit better. They're hot for 2/3 of the season, then struggle towards the end. Looks like they'll be going up against a good defensive team in the Mavs. Do they flame out in the first round like last year's Spurs?

Nope, because their first round opponent is not close to the quality of last year's grizz team.

They are the reigning champs, though, so I doubt they go without a fight. Season series should be 2-2 or even 3-1 in favor of the Mavs if a couple shots hadn't fallen.

They will play Denver not Dallas.

Dallas is still the 7 seed right now, but Denver's last game is at OKC while Dallas plays at Atlanta. Not sure who owns the tiebreaker between the two though. Still thinking that it'll be Dallas/OKC nonetheless.

Dallas won the series 3-1.

Dallas won the series 3-1.
Ah. Looking at their schedules, both only have one game left. Dallas should beat Atlanta, but you never know with the inconsistent play of both teams. Denver has it tough, but they have 3 days off while OKC will be playing on the second night of a b2b, and may not play anyone depending on if the Spurs have the first seed locked up.

Dallas would punk OKC. When you have a dumbass like Westbrook taking stupid shots or a twig like Durant shooting 35 foot jumpshots in crunchtime you arent for real.

Halberto

that "twig" shoots a higher percentage than ginobili

FkLA
04-23-2012, 03:05 AM
Crunchtime bruh. Ginobili is a much better closer than Durant. His go to move at the end of games is shooting 35 foot fadeaways.

Halberto

I'd agree that this last game seemed that way, but he usually is a pretty clutch player. Quit hatin.

Not hating, just dropping truth bombs tbh. That really is his go to move in the clutch. Once in a while hell hit them (Dallas game) but most of the time theyre bricks. Not because he sucks but simply because 35 foot fadeaways are really low percentage shots.

You should post a thread about it. You can even embed a YouTube video to illustrate your point.

I'll be highly surprised if the Thunder make it to the Finals. They just don't have the makeup of a championship squad...they are a jump-shooting team, and while they have solid interior defense, they have no offense in the post...nothing easy to go if the jumpers aren't falling.

Durant and Westbrook are going to have to go on the shooting spree of their lives in order to carry them all the way to the title, and I just don't see that happening against playoff defense and teams that have the ability to scout them exclusively for four series and take them out of their comfort zones.

The Thunder are pretty much the mid-2000s Phoenix Suns

Thunder is playing with "two man band". Mister Westbrook is the so called playmaker, but worries more about his own stats and shooting than about team. Not team player at all.
There are games when they go nuts and score like crazy, but real games come in playoffs where they will be stopped, maybe already in first round by Mavs. You probably know how they say, never underestimate the heart of a champion...

The Thunder look really really good. But I agree that they might be fools gold at this point.

Please, the Lakers' win was Fools Gold.

Abysmal shooting by Durant/Westbrick.
6th man of the year out for 2nd half of game.
Titanic effort from Hill, Ebanks, and Blake.
Kobe having his once in a blue moon Heroic game.

and still barely won AT HOME, in double overtime.

Eh, they would have won if Harden wasn't in the locker room at the end. Without him, it's hero ball at its worst.

Dallas is still going to win this series. They will easily take game 2.
