If the national media covered the Spurs in depth like they should then I wouldn't have to come to Spurstalk to get the coverage I need. The best part of the nationally televised Spurs games on ESPN is when the announcers sound genuinely surprised by the routine things we have been doing all year.
"Wow, they really share the ball well... they get a lot of wide open shots... that rookie Leonard has a little bit of potential"
It just shows that they had not seen a Spurs game all season, they may know our box scores but that doesn't show our style.

And for the record First Take has had guests that are musicians who really know their shit... and then there is Wale. I think his sports knowledge comes from playing NBA 2k12 not watching games.

Why should the national media cover the Spurs?

They cover what the majority of viewers are interested in seeing, and that's never been the Spurs.

There's a reason big market teams get big time reloads in the off season.
