Not only have they locked up a 3 seed for LA, but they've ensured Kobe will chuck with impunity and no pressure on Thursday.:tu

Who says the Lakers are avoiding the Mavs? LA and Dallas are in the same bracket and could face each other in the playoffs. Please do some research before posting.

I have a gut feel that monkeyball is going to lose at the MSG. NY and Philly are still fighting for 7th/8th.

And besides, Memphis can beat monkeyball with or without homecourt.

Agree. Memphis should beat em in 5 or 6 but having HC gives the Clipps a shot to pull the upset. I think Paul is good enough to win a game or 2 just by himself.

Can't wait til Blake Griffin is exposed when Memphis is sagging 10ft off him and telling him that he can have any shot cept a dunk, tbh.

So now that the Lakers are locked at the 3, is the Denver-Lakers match up also locked? Or is there a chance Dallas will play to get the 6th to get LAL over the Thunder?

Almost, they need to beat OKC or T-pups and Dallas needs to lose a game.

Am i the only one who thinks Denver is a worse matchup for the Lakers than Dallas, esp. with Metta not there to guard Gallo?

LAL will beat them in 5 regardless. Dallas could be a serious problem, though. Especially with Pau's history against Dirk.

Lakers are out 1st round anyways, so who cares...

They have Dirk, yes. But lost Barea, Peja, and Chandler who all killed the Lakers last year.

I just think Denver has the quick PG and a deep bench that could give the Lakers problems and push em to 6.

To be fair, I haven't see enough of the Nuggets this season to know whether they will give LAL a serious 1st round challenge. I do know they have some good individual performers, but I havent seen them as a team much.

Honestly, I'm probably giving Dallas too much respect considering their irregular play this season; then again, they are the champs and may decide to turn it up. I wonder who the Mavs think they match up best against as between those two teams.
