This is going to be fun to watch.

They are going to be a good opening round opponent. They have a sizable front line with Jefferson, Favors, and Milsap plus Kanter off the bench. Add a good young shooting guard in Hayward and a quick point in Harris they pose some issue.
Where the Spurs win out though is bench strength. If Utah only plays 8, they will eventually have to rest the core 6 and even with Ty Corbin trying to maximize the mix, he just doesn't have the weaponry to keep up with Pop and his ARMORY.
But still, this should help put the team in the proper mindset should they face other teams with big post players. Jefferson and Milsap are going to cause issues down low but ball movement and a huge dose of pick and roll will ail them.

The Spurs may very well wipe the floor with Utah - but there are going to be dents all over the broomstick. This is going to be a physical series. I'm SO glad we picked up Boris Diaw and Stephen Jackson.

Yup, I agree. But our depth is just too strong to overlook. Spurs in 6

Spurs in a sweep. Utah is a fucking joke. Three undersized big men and no perimeter shooting. Yawn.

Spurs in 4 or 5 at the very least seeing as how there's now way they lose 2 games at salt lake. Utah's size advantage everyone here keep's talking about isn't even that great when you factor in our 4 bigs are going to be Duncan,Diaw,Splitter, and bonner.

The good news is that Utah has been a terrible team on the road. The bad news is that they've been better than Denver, Dallas and even the Clippers at home. IMO, the series will hinge on the Spurs getting that game 3 at their floor. If they can pull it off, it should be a short series. If they do not, it might extend past 5 games, which the Spurs shouldn't want any part of.

a little food for thought the spurs are 25 and 9 this year against teams in the playoffs

They'll definitely give the Spurs a run for their money and test their tenacity.

This is a bad bad matchup....

Devin Harris gives Parker fits and plays well.

Meh. First of all, I think we'll sweep them. Second of all. If they give us fits, I'm glad. Gotta stay sharp. No need to fall asleep on an easy team like Phoenix and lull ourselves into 2nd round disappointment.

Game one is going to be important, if the Spurs come ready to play that game they should win the series in 4 or 5, if not it could be a tough physical series.

This is a bad bad matchup....

Devin Harris gives Parker fits and plays well.

He used to give Parker fits.
Now he lost a step and Parker gained one, I'm not too worried about the matchup.

4-1 Spurs if not a sweep. The playoffs start for SA in the 2nd round.

I'll say 5 games. Utah has a good crowd and play well at home. They will sneak a win at home.

Spurs in 5.

Unfortunate they have to play a big frontcourt in the first round. Denver or Phoenix would have been easier matchups. Hopefully the Spurs come out unscathed because they are probably going up against Memphis in round 2.

Doesnt really matter if its Denver or Utah, Spurs will advance to the 2nd rd. Big 3's been hungry all year and TP's been playing like a fucking champ.
