We were all intimidated as a kid, this isn't about those days.
As an adult do you see yourself as someone easily intimidated? You are one of those who would rather blend in than stand out. You don't want to rock the boat or draw attention to yourself, so you simply go along with things, the program? Or do you take charge? Fuck it, you cannot be intimidated by a situation or somebody.
As we know here on these messageboards we are all hung like a horse, we are all bad to the bone.
It's...
real life
Joe..(talking about his girlfriend)...ain't she pretty?
you...(knowing that no she isn't)...sure, pretty!
in hiding
Joe...ain't she pretty?
you...you fucking blind, she's a dog...bow wow.
Which is actually kinda cool, we get how things really are instead of bullshit.
In hiding we find out who the pricks are also.
Personally I cannot be intimidated here or out there. I have too much self respect, for that to happen. What about you, do you allow yourself to be intimidated? It really is on you, it's not about the intimidator, they can't play that role unless you let them.
I'm sure you've noticed those three/four posters who constantly bug me. You've also noticed it's about as intimidating as a sling shot vs a battleship, they make no impact at all. Surprised they haven't figured that out by now.
So there you are waiting in line when the guy you are waiting to talk to gets a private phone call. Do you just stand there waiting as he yaks away about the barbecue or do you....
you..hey, I'm in a bit of a rush...ok?
Well?
Do you see yourself as an intimidator?

I'm definitely not one to intimidate anyone. I'm also not easily intimidated. I've been in sales all my adult working life, (13 years), so I have grown a very thick skin by hearing all the No's and Eff U's.
I also have self respect. If I am waiting to talk to someone and he blows me off to talk on the phone in the middle of our conversation, I'm out.

I sold health insurance, so I'm well aware of your situation. I did spend a lot of time trying to sell myself before getting down to business. I also tried to put them in a yes, yes, sure, oh yes, frame of mind, which makes it more difficult to say...no.
Like we both mentioned...self respect...is the key.
Avante, if you think I'm trying to intimidate you're way off on that one.
As a matter of fact, all I have to do is qoute you with the simplest thing and you go off. That's on you, not me.
As far as you comment that it doesn't bother you, it sure seems like it does. Just saying..
I dont intimidate or get intimidated here or anywhere. Too old to let someone just come and take my cookie away and watch it go in the distance.

In general, I think there is a difference between being intimidated and being a doormat. Just as I think there is a difference between being confident or forthright and being an overly defensive ass.
Certain situations are intimidating, or at least should be, no matter how big a badass you think you are. And walking into those situations with a defensive need to prove you can't be intimidated is likely to get you in trouble unnecessarily.
I'm the type of person who has always been fairly thick skinned, and who has seldom been a doormat or allowed myself to be bullied and/or disrespected, but I also recognize when I'm in a situation that demands I mind my Ps and Qs. I'm currently in my last semester of a grad program and all of my meetings with professors, thesis committee members, etc., are hugely intimidating. It would be completely disingenuous of me to suggest otherwise. They're the people who basically determine my ability to graduate and saying or doing the wrong thing could fuck up my future plans. That's intimidating. But recognizing that doesn't necessarily make them "intimidators," or me a gutless weenie.

We all play these silly ass games here (boards in general). Do you honestly believe I "really" care about internet bullshit...come on man:rolleyes It's....how do I work this one?....I figured you out long ago. As we see, I nailed it.
Anyone who does take this shit serious and does get intimidated...:rolleyes My thing is...impact. Make an impact. I don't care if it's..."you are so cool!" or "you suck!"...it does not matter knowing what I know about this in hiding world. The bottom line is always..."make an impact". Which does make me wonder why you don't atttempt to be creative instead of relying on everyone else. Not trying to be a punk, just curious.

You're making my point for me child.
Going so out of your way to make me see you're not bothered with it. Someone that isn't bothered with such things as you said, wouldn't get so defensive about it. Just let it be.
I'll try not to clown you all the time but you must also do your part. If you make an idiot out of yourself then you are fair game. That is the game here.

I think by now it's time to let the.."bug the new guy"...thing go. Obviously it didn't work/won't work and we need to move past that. I confess I played along a little too long/too believable. It won't be...."just let it be"...it needs to be..."stop with the bullshit Shadowflames"....ok? You really are just wasting your time. 0....impact on me....trust me!
A child?...come on man:rolleyes

The fact that you think this is "bug the new guy" is funny. I think there are 4 or 5 new posters that have come on since you started. Think slick. It's not that difficult...I know you can do it. Me: RaZon, what's up. You: I SUCK COCKS ALL DAY!
