Spur fans can't stop thinking about the injury. If true, this changes the course of our chances to shit.

Does anyone else remember hearing an announcer say the big 3 went through a vigorous practice and TP had tons of ice on his knees after practice.
Seems to me, they would have noticed some shoulder injury if it had happened during Practice.

Blake and others potentially confused Spurs' fans,

I don't know if you are being sarcastic, but what CC is referring is probably the scoop from the 2000 playoffs that Timmy missed due to injury. This was pretty relevant as the Spurs were the defending champs and this was the nail in the coffin for their hopes to repeat.

CC has been a very reliable poster since the mysa.com times and I trust him.

Before everyone panics, even if this were to be true and confirmed by a second source, we don't know anything about the severity of this alleged shoulder injury, nor the prognosis. It could be as "good" as a couple of days to recover, to something that may linger over the entire playoffs, to something more drastic that would prevent Tony to play all together.

For now, sit back and chill until we know more about the situation. I am pretty sure Kori and timvp may be making some inquires to check the story.

What are we as fans supposed to do with this claim presented to us? It seems the only thing to do is grind our teeth and add speculative replies to this thread, while searching here and elsewhere on the web for *anything* that confirms or denies this. I just don't understand what CC is trying to accomplish here.

Fine, understood that you can't give up the source. How about something far less general than "hurt shoulder"? We talking won't play because of it, out some time, out for good, needs surgery but can play, will limit, what? No one gives a shit about the source, but if you are going to throw that out there you need to lay it out better than that. "Hurt shoulder" leaves us basically nowhere. Take the extra step, please.

Blake,

If you didn't know about the 2000's scoop fine but chill out a bit.

TP may be playing in game 1, even have a good game, but that doesn't mean anything. If you have been a Spurs' fan for more than 5-7 years, it should be very clear that the Spurs' organization is super secretive about health related issues. For a very recent example, look no further than last year's playoffs. I guess very few people knew at the time that Manu played with a fractured arm. He played very good (probably the best Spurs), so you couldn't have inferred his injury based on his level of play.

For now we just need a second source and more info about the severity of the alleged injury.

Pretty clear that the only reason to start the thread is to be able to go "told ya so" if the news actually proves to be true and not meant to provide any real "inside info".

I just checked the shoulder injury last summer :
http://www.basketeurope.com/news/82689/tony-parker-blesse-a-lepaule-forfait-en-eurocup/

The 20th of November, Vincent collet said he had the shoulder injury for the last 3 month at that time so he was playing with it with the NT when he was on fire

He missed the game of the 22th of November and had an infiltration (not sure of the translation) and came back the 26th of November for a 26pts / 8 ass game

The hell would anyone want more traffic for ... there are enough NASF as it is.

Tbh, it'd be great to delete this thread but CC isn't one to make something up out of the blue.

Would there really be a private plane to take them back when the rest of the team is going from Phoenix to Oakland?

TimVP that's what I was told. It wouldn't be a big stretch for Holtcat to send the corporate jet for Pop, Tim, and Manu.

CC can you confirm whether or not Bruno's hypothesis is correct? It does seem likely. Also can you confirm whether or not Tony hurt is shoulder practicing in Phoenix and if so how he did?

I can't and don't have the sources to find out. I just know what I posted was true.

cool man well thanks for the scoop, hopefully its nothing too serious.

I'm thinking we dont need Tony for round 1 regardless, even without him Utah wont be much of a challenge, so if he has to rest he will have a little window to do so, but the last thing we want is for him to be banged up and rusty heading into a series with Memphis potentially
