Does anyone remember the VHS tape after the 89-90 season, DRobs rookie year? That was a classic with Greg Simmons, and Cummings singing "its that Christmas time of the year."

Makes me nostalgic of those days, though I was only 8 years old then but a diehard already, luckily the Parents got us season tickets for hemisfair arena.

My point is that the journey from then (Spurs getting owned by Jazz, labeled as soft) to where we are now (4 time champ, pop and the big 3, major respect) has been insanely awesome. Insanely awesome to the point that we thought(after 07), that getting back to the finals wouldnt be tough to imagine. little did we know.

Fast Fwd to the plane ride conversation between the big three and Pop returning from Phoenix.... Imagine all the reminiscing over their long run together..Equal excitement for this year's fight for five, balanced with equal saddness of the realization this may be their last chance together. If youve played competive sports, it makes you get goosebumps..

Makes us diehard fans want to enjoy this moment..... Weve had a long run, we will still be contenders when Duncan and Pop retire. But I will always look back to the 50-21-20-9 timeframe of my life, and smile..... AND always have the rings to cite, to Mavs and Rockets fans

That was a memorable season. I was a sophomore in college. The Magic and T-Wolves joined the league. Robinson and Elliott and Cummings. An amazing season. Heart-break in the playoffs.

I've never seen the video, though. That would be cool.

Was that the one with at the end the guy say "do we really have to talk about the playoffs?"

Lol I have that one somewhere.

Ahhhh the pre championship era...I remember they threw up stats at the end of the tape and one was Dale Ellis 4pt play. Yup...before we ever won a ship, a 4pt play was worthy of mentioning on a season review tape.
