Could be Nash's last game as a Sun (doubtful, since Suns fans think he'll sign an extension with the team), if it is, how would Suns fans rate the Nash era?

He's just not that into you, Suns fans.
Nash doesn't have the drive to win a ring. He's got the drive to make money and be the franchise facade.
He might leave and go somewhere and win a ring by coattailing, but he's a fucking fraud.

He might not be into Suns fans, but he sure as shit is into the complete lack of pressure/expectations Suns fans allow him to play with in Phoenix.
Why does Nash get so much shit for being loyal to the city of Phoenix ?

Idk if you're trolling (since he receives next to no shit for it) or being serious, but you're retarded if you think Nash gives two shits about the city of Phoenix or any of its fans. Nash cares about being able to receive an 8 figure salary while not being expected to win at all. Phoenix happens to be the place where he has that option.

Only other destination that won't give him a bad reputation is Dallas.

Woah, did Nash fuck your girlfriend or something? He's one of the top 5 point guards of all time, easily. Give the man some respect.

Nah not trolling. And Im talking about getting shit from people here on ST. I mean the nigga turned the Suns around when they signed him, they made deep playoff runs and he played hard and performed well in them. He had his best years there, I dont see how him choosing to stay there once the Suns declined shows that he has no desire to win. Why cant it just be because hes loyal and got attached to the franchise/fanbase ?

Because that's not how it works and you have no logical reasoning behind Nash staying in Phoenix out of sheer loyalty. First, Steve Nash won the Suns as many rings as Stephon Marbury did (Marbury was even able to outplay P:lolrker rather than get railed by him like Nash did), so lets not get crazy with how he turned the Suns around.
If Nash just stayed with the Suns out of sheer loyalty, he wouldn't have demanded a raise in 2009 (his loyalty would have made it so more money wasn't necessary), and he wouldn't have given Sarver and Kerr a list of contingencies that him signing an extension depended on. A hard working, loyal, classy guy like you think Nash is wouldn't use the fact fans love him as leverage. The Suns paid Nash more than he woulda gotten anywhere else, and aside from everything else, the guy doesn't even live in Phoenix. He doesn't give two shits about the city of the fans. He wouldn't have demanded a premium to stay in a city he loved and felt loyal to, which can be said for a lot of other players too, most notably Kobe. It's just as much of a myth when people say Kobe loves the fans of LA and is loyal to them.

Suns would probably have won that game had the fans not started that "We want Steve" chant. It completely distracted the Suns players and the Spurs capitalized.

I don't hate Nash. If I did, that would mean he's done something worthy of hate.
Dude got all his hype from playing in an gimmick system, and now he's just a shell trying to get by. I hope he does go to another team, see how he gets treated when a coach expects him to defend.

Btw, the ":cryHow can you dismiss the possibility of him simply being loyal to Phoenix:cry!" benefit of the doubt people give Nash is TOTALLY due to the color of his skin. It's why you never heard anyone say in 2007, ":cryHow do you know Iverson doesn't just love Philly and its fans:cry!"

Why so much negativity? Why not give props to Nash and the fans for showing their respect and appreciation of Steve Nash?

Nash hasn't given up on trying to win a championship. He simply just doesn't care for Phoenix is all. He'll be looking to go some place else. Mavs would have him.

:lol I agree, i was thinking the same thing when that happened. it's what caused the turnover lol

Well Nash has pretty much been the Suns since his arrival, and he did outplay his initial contract. He put up good enough numbers to justify the amount he got with the extension too. I dont see what the big deal with the raise (which was pretty small) is. Im sure the list of contingencies had something to do with the pieces that were to be put around him, no? Specifically a winning team which goes against your argument of him not giving a shit about winning.
Kobe demanded a trade when the going got tough though, Nash did the complete opposite. Probably wasnt a smart decision on his part since they didnt end up winning anything but I also dont think its fair to say he stayed because he was content with making 8 figures and losing. Seems like he jusr wanted to make it work in Phoenix even if it was a pretty hopeless cause.

Nash is a greedy and politically confused little bastard. if he was black than most people would look at him the same way they do Kenyon Martin's dumb ass.

I won't lie...I'd love to see him running our offense for the next 2-3 years. We have the bigs to bail him out on defense as well. Maybe we get the Warriors pick this year, draft Lillard or Marshall at point and let Nash mentor him for 2 years.

tbh Goran, why don't you like Steve Nash to begin with? Is it because of the media's portrayal of him as a white savior who can do no wrong on the court and is so loyal and classy? Is it because Spurfan generally likes Nash? Or is it because he got a pass while Amare got shat on by fans?

And tbh if Nash really wanted to win a title but still contribute meaningfully without joining a superteam, he should come to the Spurs since he won't have to play defense and he would lead the best 2nd unit in the league. Nash/Ginobili/Jackson/Bonner/Splitter is better than the current Suns team :lol

I don't really care about Spurfan liking Nash, the other parts are why. He's a shining example of how racist the city of Phoenix is.

Suns Fans Celebrate The Career Of Steve Nash With A Giant Drawing Of A Penis
Steve Nash becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and since the Suns didn't qualify for the playoffs, his offseason essentially started last night. Suns fans came out to lament his departure (or beg him to stay) including at least one who decided the occasion called for a display of a giant cock-and-balls on Fox Sports Arizona.
