I think Duncan has done enough to be either 1st or 2nd team all nba this season. What are yalls thoughts on whether or not he will be selected

I think you've lost your mind.

Duncan has about a 10% chance to be named to the third team. Parker has a shot at second team but probably is more likely to land on the third team.

hes easily third center but he wont get it
hes putting up the same stats as marc gasol who was an all star
but hes doing it in about 8 minutes less

You are probably right but tim has been more valuable to us than gasol has to LA plus his numbers are better if you consider minutes played

I think 3rd team. 2nd TOPS and it's close to impossible due to the media.

Duncan has virtually no chance of getting even 2nd team. 2nd team isn't even a "reach" for Duncan at this point. It's virtually an impossibility.

We've already gotten a taste of how a couple of key panel members will vote All-NBA (nba.com and espn.com insider articles), and the general consensus is that Tony Parker will get 3rd team and Duncan won't be named to any of them.

Pop will almost certainly get Coach of the year.

Harden will get 6th man. Lebron will get MVP. Kyrie Irving will get rookie of the year.

I doubt we'll see any Spur on any of the All-NBA teams. Duncan definitely won't make it, while the league will overlook TP for CP3, Westbrook, and Rondo.

Tony Parker is a lock for All-NBA 3rd team. I'd put $1000 on it.

which is a shame, cuz he deserves all-nba second team

He should, but he absolutely won't.

If it was based on skill/value/performance/actual basketball reasons, yes. However, these days the awards all seem to cater to the casual fan and more hyped player. Rondo will get it due to better prime time coverage and the fact he's a Celtic. Really can't say it's complete bull though, Rondo has been mostly as important to the Celtics' success as Tony to the Spurs'.

Duncan deserves All-NBA 3rd team, and if he was playing 34min/game I think he would get it. Sadly in only 28 minutes he isn't putting up the stats to get noticed despite being the anchor for the best team in the NBA.

Honestly I don't who they can put ahead of him though. Howard, Bynum, Love and Griffin will be 1st and 2nd team in whatever combination, but who else is there? Marc/Pau Gasol, Aldridge, Bosh, Hibbert, Nowitzki? I'd put Duncan ahead of all of them

Per 36 Duncan is averaging just short of 20/11.5/3/2
