View Full Version : Racism revisited

It's always funny to listen/read how people try to talk around the obvious. Very entertaining. All those creative ways of getting away from..."yep, we are different!"

Being a football/track freak all my life I saw those obvious differences early on in life. While I could run I couldn't run with the black guys around here. I'm talking as just a little kid. I could however beat the Asian, Mexican and fellow paleface sprinters. This region of California giving the speed world...

Olympians

Leamon King...Delano
Tommie Smith...Lemoore
Maxie Parks...Fresno

Notable

Bill Cowings...Fowler/state 100 champ
Marquez Holiwell....West Bakersfield/state 100 champ
Alvin Mann...Fresno/state 100 champ
Laurence Jones...Lemoore/state 400 champ
Jerry White...Corcoran/state 400 champ

All Afro Americans.

Central California has had...one....white sprinter of note...Darel Newman. He was great being the only paleface sprinter to beat the greast Bob Hayes. Turned that trick in an indoor 60. Newman barely missed making the 1964 Olympic team. Which was the last year we saw a paleface sprinter on our Oly 4x1 team, that was Dartmouths Gerry Ashworth.

This is want/need/culture/escape the ghetto?

WGCEl9THEN8&feature=related (http://WGCEl9THEN8&feature=related)

How many Afro Canadians are there? The greatest Canadian sprinter...Donovan Bailey who was born in Jamaica,

How many Afro Brits are there? The greatest British sprinter...Linford Christie who was also born in Jamaica.

Tiny Jamaica having more great sprinters than Asia and Europe combined. The Middle East...hahaha!!!!!

So to say...blacks are the fastest humans on the planet...is racism or fact?

I would say...they would help. Makes the cheese lighter and also decreases wind drag. But I don't know. If the cheese ran sideways, it might actually increase the wind problems.

Some hurdlers like those I listed were also 100m sprinters to some degree. Harrison Dillard for instance won the 100m and the 110's at the Olympic Games. Willie Gault ran on USA teams on the 4x1. Those times were their 100m times ya fucking moron:rolleyes

Dorsett didn't run track while at Pitt. But...it's very obvious he had great speed for a running back. Most backs don't have that long range type speed, more quick than fast.

Dorsett did run a 9.6 (I think it was) in the old Superstars competition. Which tells us with some training as a sprinter in college...9.3?

The fastest sprinter ever at Pitt...Lee McRae.

Bob Hayes was the fastest human the world had ever seen. Histories first sub6.0/10.00 (9.91 but was windy). He broke or tied 13 sprint WR 's in his day. Records in the 60, 100yd. 100m and the 200m.

His 10.06 Olympic win was on a shabby dirt track. If he'd ran on todays surfaces even back then...9.98.

Right. I honestly didn't know that you decided to list a group of world class 110 hurdlers and were posting their top 100 meter times. And right, I didn't make the connection that he was running the 100 yard dash. The much simpler conclusion was that you were just being an idiot.

Sorry I misunderstood.

Wariner is one of the greatest 400 guys ever. Xiang one of the greatest hurdlers,

Now lets look at all those great white 400m guys and Asian hurdlers. When compared to black 400 guys and 110hurdlers, Wariner and Xiang are oddties/rare. Not the norm at all.

IMO, I think it has alot to do with training and sample size. Most white sprinters run track to stay fit in the off-season sport(s) of their choice - football, whereas traditionally "white" sports such as soccer and baseball are in season during track season, so the best "white" athletes are already devoted.

The white sprinters are usually using track to train for something else, which gives them a huge disadvantage against other "real" track athletes who train specifically for that event year round. As with most sports, typically the younger you start, the better you'll do as you mature.

When you have a country such as Jamaica entirely devoted to one track event, you'll naturally have a high amount of sprinters coming out of that region. Are there any other countries in the world so devoted to that event?

As with alot of sprinters, most of them come out of high density urban centers that have a higher black population. Not only is there significantly more competition as a result, but you have a higher sample size to choose from.

Xiang and Wariner are "exceptions" because they've devoted their entire lives to that "one" event they're good at, despite not being black. Bob Hayes, as you stated, was the greatest sprinter ever. He would not have been if he only played football and then started running track.

I really do appreciate the seriousness you displayed there. Obviously you've spent some time coming up with that.

Here's my take...

Asia, Germany, Poland. USSR etc have had sprinters. So how come none of those sprinters ever ran as fast as what we have seen coming out of poor Nigeria? China vs Nigeria when it comes to training....no contest. Yet, we never see a great Chinese 100m man. Nigeria has had a slew of sub10.00 guys. How come?

What we really have is a certain human being with roots to western Africa blessed with a unigue pyhsique. A physique with unique physical charactersistics that gives them an advantage in certain athletic events, events that require speed, agility and quicknesss.

Do you watch football? Ever notice (of course you do) those quick, speedy elusive black running backs and receivers. That is a trait found in abundance in black athletes. Go ahead give me the name of a similiar white athlete? How about the size with speed? Bo Jackson, Herschel Walker both around 220 pounds with great speed. How about tall and fast like Usain Bolt, Tommie Smith, Randy Moss? Where are the similiar white athletes?

Sure we'll see that once in awhile exception, but it is just that...rare.

It's not about anything other than unique physical characteristics we find in those with western African roots.

The former USSR has produced numerous modern day boxing champions whereas the US has slim to none white boxers. How so? It's the issue of time allocation between certain demographics of the population.

China triumphs in gymnastics and other "graceful" sports because that's what the national ideology is about. They also have the means to do so with how much they invest in equipment. Plus, as with training facilities, it's ALOT easier to go outside, draw a line, and run your ass off. All the extra training facilities and whatnot in sprinting is to prevent injury. Running is running, plain and simple.

I'm not going to have a google war with you, but as you might notice, the huge fast white people in football are usually put on defense as linebackers and safeties. Or they usually end up playing baseball.

let's talk real sports slick...Renaldo Nehemiah...only 4 time winner of The Superstars. Because of his ability to leap and grab the top of the rope wall, he shaved off valuable seconds in the obstacle course which was the last event and usually determined the overall winner.

Sure...

I have forgotten what year it was (:rolleyes) when Maryland showed up at the Penn Relays to run the 4x2 and the 4x4. Nehemiah would be anchoring both teams.

In the 4x2 Maryland was way down to LSU with Orlando McDaneil on the anchor leg. McDaneil also a hurdler, future NFL receiver. Nehemiah started running, with each stride he was gaining. The crowd was going bonkers with that ...wooooooooooooooooooooooo. Need I go on? Nehemiah had came from way back to win the 4x2.

Later in the meet....

At the final exchange Villanova with 45.6 guy Tim Dale on anchor has a sold 15 meters on Maryland. Need I go on? Yep, just like in the 4x2 Nehemiah stunned everyone. His split...44.3!

He stills holds the Maryland record in the 110's and 100m.

When the Niners tried him out he ran a hand timed...4.1.

Oh yeah....that 4.1 is a 40 time not a 100 yard or 100m ...ok?

I don't need Google.

When we see anything as overwelming as black speed/quicks and agility it's not about what you are talking about. It's about those unique physical characteristics I mentioned.

All countries have their sprinters. So why is it only the black sprinters run sub 9.90? Why are all the cornerbacks in the NFL black? Why are all the starting running backs black? Why are most the wide receivers black? Why do blacks hold all the sprint records? Why do we see all the age records held by blacks?

Ever see a white guy do this?

c2SpdESsTXo (http://c2SpdESsTXo)

That could be...

Billy "White Shoes" Johnson
Brian Mitchell
Nolan Smith
Gale Sayers
Ron Brown
Michael Bates
Cecil Turner
Dante Hall
Travis Williams
Ollie Matson
Bobby Mitchell
etc etc etc and etc.

Where are those white American female sprinters?

Who was the fastest white NFL player? The list of sub10.40/9.5 black NFLers is a mile long.

Black Olympic sprinters in the NFL.

Ollie Matson
Larry Burton
Gerald Tinker

Paul Lowe
Marshall Faulk
Ladainian Tomlinson
O.J.Simpson
Bo Jackson
Adrian Peterson
Chris Johnson

Reggie Bush
Billy Sims
Mercury Morris
Roger Craig
Brian Westbrook
Mike Garrett
Wilbert Montgomery
Willie Galimore
Dick Bass
Terry Metcalf
Greg Pruitt
Chuck Foreman
Joe "The Jet" Perry
etc etc etc

Keep in mind blacks make up about 14% of America. Take away the women, those under 20 and over 30 and we are talking 3/4% of Americans are giving us all our speed. Amazing!

It all started with this guy. He was an NCAA/AAU 100 champ and the first real speedy/elusive black NFL back.

All the training in the world won't give you that kind of speed/agility/elusiveness as we saw in those videos. You either have it or you don't. As we see in every sprint/football game blacks have it.

Oh yeah, the fastest white NFLer? John Roderick a legit 9.3 guy out of SMU, he played for the Dolphins. Did nothing.

All black.

Where are the Mexican Americans****, Asian American, Okies? So what is really going on there, well?

That list of great tracksters just not Olympians from around here who were black is a mile long, ask me and I'll prove it.

And all of you reading this have the exact same thing going on where you're at. Why act like this isn't how things are? Go to a track meet in Texas at any level and guess what you'll be seeing?
