I've been thinking about this for a while and wanted opinions.

How much does a persons experience of adversity affect the way they approach the game of basketball (or any sport for that matter). In particular, do you think that someone who has undergone great perosnal tragedies would (generaly speaking) be a more fearless performer on the court?

Life changing experiences tend to change your outlook on life (as TimVP has shared with us previously). Robert Horry used to say that he didn't care if his shots went in or not and that he just wanted to "have fun" (and that was a man who went through great personal adversity). Timmy lost his mother before his NBA career started and is one of the most fearless players to ever play. I'm not saying someone who has gone through struggles WILL be clutch, or even that it is a requirement for fearless play, but do you think these things can influence a players ability handle pressure?
