To be honest, I'm a fan of Stephen Jackson though most think he is terrible. Look at the year he is having though. He is shooting 40% and 30% from the field. Was he good for SA in the playoffs at the start of his career? Sure. Times have changed though.

He's good for what the Spurs need him to do, which is defend the wing with the 2nd unit and get himself to the line here and there. He also has the balls to take the big shot.
In other words, we need the swagger, not another number 1 option (which is what he tried to be @ GSW). A guy that's not afraid to step up when it matters, unlike RJ. We'll get that from Jack.

And he's still 10 times the player Dick Jefferson is. Utah might of had a chance at this series if we still had that bitch on our team. With Buckets, Spurs in 4 or 5.

No. He led Charlotte to the playoffs in 2010. They got swept by Orlando, I think.
Your right. He had amazing % of 36% from the field and 17% from deep. I'm fucking terrified.

No that hes a good defensive player, tough as nails and a clutch shooter in the playoffs.
Plus a deceivingly good playmaker.
But hey, we all cant have the Josh Howards of the world.
So basically the love for Jackson is that he isn't Richard Jefferson?
Getting rid of Jefferson was one of the main contributing factors to this successful season.

so our third string PG, a d-league player, a player who has been injured for weeks (and won't be playing in the playoffs) and Josh Howard, a player known for playing well against the Spurs. Cool.
Yeah, the same players that get plenty of burn on your weak ass team...

You are right. If the Spurs were to depend on him to carry forth a major role in the playoffs, they'd be in trouble. But the Spurs aren't depending on him for major contributions. He needs to play some scrappy defense and hit a couple of shots and be a source of confidence in the locker room to the young guys. He's one of the several nice fitting puzzle pieces which has made this the deepest team in the L.
