Some of you are shocked that the Grizzlies would blow such a big lead. I'm not. I saw them turn a 26 point lead against the Magic into a single digit lead. They led by 15 after 1 quarter against the Warriors and the 2nd quarter they were trailing. The Grizz also had a 17 point first quarter lead against those same Warriors then the next quarter they were trailing. Did anyone see that Laker game at the FedEx Forum this season? A double digit lead is never safe when the Grizzlies have it. They don't have that killer instinct.

Anyway Zach Randolph has not been the Zach Randolph of last season and hasn't been all season long. I'm not sure if we're going to get the Zach Randolph of last season.

I was thinking the same thing, but then I remembered that this was the playoffs and couldn't think of a team besides Dallas that would choke that hard. Playoff teams just generally don't do that.

sons although I think we can all agree that what happened tonight was a fluke, it was still an epic choke job by the Grizzlies and a great comeback by the Clippers. I will be the first to admit that I was wrong when ranking the Grizzles as the #1 team in the NBA this playoff season. However I still believe they are a legit threat, but they are now showing a history of not being able to close out games they easily have in the bag and I don't think anyone (Clippers fans included) expected them to shit the bed like this.

well son until about 30 minutes ago I thought that the Grizzles were the team to beat in the NBA with both OKC and San Antonio being a close second/third, but now the Grizzles have proven that they can't close the deal and that has to be a big concern for their fans. they are without a doubt still a big threat and deserving of a top 3 ranking as of now, but Christ almighty what we all just witnessed was about as pathetic as watching Chinese basketball.

Son the animosity stems from the fact that this team and it's fanbase make themselves seemingly self entitled from beating a depleted San Antonio squad last year. This year, they think they gonna ring. :lol

Wrong, son. I have said Lakers were NON contenders ALL year long. Check with DPG and Harlem. But that shitty list looks like it was made by a woman, who picks games based on uniforms or who is "cute".

Pre-playoffs:
1. Heat
2. SAS
3. Bulls
4. OKC
5. Mavs (out of respect)

Grizz fans seem cool. It's Spur haters like Luva and Kool suddenly all up on the Grizzlies' dick that's generated a lot of the animosity toward the team. Not to mention all the knob slobbing of their "super, awesome, incredible, invincible, transcendent" frontline that isn't really all that better than the Spurs' at this point.

Yeah that's true. Is game two a must win for the Grizzlies? After seeing the result of game 1, I would say yes. If Memphis loses game 2, they will probably lose the series in 4. Some teams can't recover fast enough from choke jobs.

It should galvanize them tbh. They should understand now they have to finish teams off. The Clipps however get some swag and might actually compete the entire game next time.

I wonder if they were expecting the Clipps to just fold like a meaningless regular season game?

I'm not willing to dismiss anything but even with Manu playing well later in the serie, they raped us and Memphis was not 100% healthy neither.

Manu wouldn't have changed the fact their front court killed ours.

oh and fwiw Tim health was in fact more damageable than manu's one. At the end of the day the better team won.
