Someone in a truck just sideswiped the back end of my husband's car on the freeway. He said he spun around a few times, but luckily, wasn't hurt, thank God. His car is still driveable, but he said it's pretty messed up.

" I got tapped and got a lil' loose back on the back corner, but I got into the clutch and saved it and managed to get back on the track.

" It's a shame, because the WOAI-Valvoline Oil Change-Spurstalk.com-Goomba's Chevrolet was runnin' good and we needed these points for the cup race."

:lol

Glad everyone's OK.

You might be surprized. Sometimes you don't even have time to process what just happened to you when something like that happens and you can be completely normal afterwards. That, or the amount of stress during the event is so high that you are calmed by the relative lack of stimuli afterward...

In any event, he walked away and now has a good story to tell.

Glad he's okay Shelly!! That is really scary and it could've worked out alot worse.

BTW- uhmm.... bring your car to North Park Lincoln Mercury Lexus Body Shop on SanPedro to get it fixed. they are really really good..... and we could use the $$$. :lol

Especially because I just got out of the doom-and-gloom-trying-to-sell-you-long-term-disability insurance meeting.

I just had a white Ford 150 truck almost run me off the road on the way to work. He was in the right lane and he started pulling right in to me, I hit the horn and he just kept on coming into me. Had I not been paying attention, I would have had a fucked up right side of my car too.

That is to weird, I was making light of Shelly's husband's accident, and I almost had the same thing happen to me.

Damn.

Maybe you should start making light of somebody having a loan paid off to them.

We do need to seriously review driving tests to recieve a license.

Honestly, its too easy to get a drivers license.

I got into an accident a few weeks ago and my work truck started spinning on US 281 N. Struck the concrete wall...it was wild!

Ughh! Sorry Shell. Glad your husband's ok. He needs to get with the program and buy a big white Suburban so people can see him. That IS the "Cadillac of Texas" or so I've been told.

I had someone bump into me earlier this week. No spinning around though!
Sucks..never had anything ever happen to me before and this car is not even 2 yrs. yet and twice I've had someone smack into me. *sigh*

I'm still trying to shake off the cobwebs after I got hit nearly two weeks ago. So far, the truck is still being fixed and I've been driving around in a rental.
