Alen definitely has a lot of potential, but I think he needs few more years before entering NBA. The main reason is that he needs to get more muscles and physical strength, because right now he is pretty skinny for a centre. Dwight, Bynum and others would blow him away with one touch tbh. But he is getting better and better with every season, I believe he can succeed.

The more I look at it, the more I think he will Spurs' pick at #59.

When it came to the #59, you didn't know who was still available.

Certainly, if he has stayed in he has got a promise from someone. It would be a Spurs-esque move...

Any reason for that? You've been on a roll this year so I'm not going to doubt you, tbh . . .
ESPN has him as the 86th best prospect and DraftExpress has him at 99. He's from Slovenia so perhaps that's enough to pique San Antonio's interest.

He puts up decent numbers, at least better than Radosevic(who DX has the Spurs taking) and he has no reason to stay in the draft, since none of the "experts" have him being picked at all. Spurs have a history of going after off-the-radar guys with late picks(see: Hanga, Adam).

He surprisingly stays in the draft despite being projected undrafted and not making efforts to be drafted (workouts, Eurocamp). There are two most logical explanations of that:
- He doesn't want to be drafted. There is a trend with Euro prospects who don't want to be drafted. It allows them to negotiate with all the teams interested in them when they want to join the NBA.
- He has a promise from a team and he is keeping it quiet.
If he is staying because of a promise, Spurs seems to be a good fit to have made that promise. They have the right pick to do so with #59, they have done a similar move in the past, they are Euro friendly and they have nothing in the pipeline at the C spot with Richards spiraling down.

Before he goes to any better team, he needs to put up weight/muscle...
EDIT: Few days ago he told in an interview that he almost joined team from Slovenia, Union Olimpija, but due to financial problems in this club, he is now looking for new club.

Wouldn't be a bad pickup if the Spurs ended up with him.
