It's his hometown.

Cubes is an amazing owner.

It's not San Antonio.

Any team that pays for Deron Williams will be disappointed..

They're a first round out, even with Deron. He won't plug the gaping hole in their paint defense.

Not resigning Chandler just to sign Williams is not smart at all. Williams isn't a superstar and shouldn't even been an All-Star this season.

If Chris Paul can make a shitty team like the Clippers tied for 4th in the West, then Derron could have made the Nets close to a playoff team.

Well, IF Deron did go to Dallas then Mavs will be neck to neck with the Nets in the D12 race. On the other hand, if Deron stayed on the Nets then Dwight is going to be a net for sure.

Deron can do the same with a lineup like the Clippers.

No way. Not even close. He can't create like Paul and Paul has now become a lethal scorer. His game is way ahead of Williams at this point. Both have put on a "few" pounds as well.

I'm not sure that Dallas has the assets to pull Dwight. Orlando is preparing for life, post-Dwight, and if there is one thing they are already flush with, it's bad contracts. They won't take any more on just to make the deal, and they will have plenty of interested parties.

They are put in an awkward situation: Dwight is only going to sign with a team that has D-Will

Nobody wants an expensive player that doesn't want to be there

^ truth bomb tbh if we could land deron then Orlando would have no other choice but to accept our offer, which would ostensibly include some terrible contracts (haywood) to make the salary work

Orlando already called his bluff once and won. They aren't taking shitty contracts back. It would be a faster rebuild to let him walk.

Because he's going to the Magic.

That would be a good trick, since they are not only the cap, they are over the tax, and there is no way in hell that NJ does a trade.

Miami will feel the same way about Lebron 5 years from now.
