One less game without World Peace against OKC...

it wouldn't surprise me... but too many minutes and it looks like Kobe did his normal choke job.

They really do need this series to go 6, as no way they can spot Durant a free game in OKC.

Too much effort put in by Kobe for this to be a throw away game.

It would had make more sense if they were to lose game 4. Losing game 3 is sort of a downside because they could lose game 4 as well and be in quite a predicament.

Winning game 3 and purposefully losing game 4 would have been best because being up 3-0 gives you the advantage of controlling your own destiny.

Either way Lakers will move on and proceed to get beat by Thunder so its all pointless whether they loss by design or not. Same fate awaits them.

tbh, lakers would have been dumb to not throw a game or two.

Please dont try and say they threw it :lol

The same old issue with the lakers is still there. BAsically Kobe and Bynum dont mesh (despite what they try and say in the LA media). Kobe gets mad and tries to win the game by himself.

The Lakers best player is Bynum, but their most selfish player isn't ready to hand over the mantle.

The Lakers just got owned, just like they will in games 4,5,6 :smokin

Spurs vs Nuggets in WCF, book it.

I would love to see that actually happen, but :downspin:

Sure seems so. MWP will be needed more in round 2. But either way they will be ill served. More games more wear and tear as okc will be fresh after sweeping dallas lol or they finish early with denver and lose metta for more games. Will be interesting to see how things shake up.

Wow. JaVale McGee notched 16 and 15 with 3 blocks and was +30 on the night. Nice game.

What the Lakers really need is to lose Game 7 in this round.

This is most likely a troll effort but seriously...lol @ anyone who will claim the Lakers threw this game, they clearly got beat. I'm sure this will be obvious once Denver pulls it off and wins the series :toast

Bynum was openly pouting and giving no effort when he didn't get the ball in the fourth... that idiot needs to grow up. Bynum and Demarcus Cousins are peas in a pod imo

Throwing a game in the playoffs? Ridiculous. Especially considering game 4 is in Denver and the Lakers haven't exactly been road warriors this year. If the Lakers threw game 3 and Denver managed to win a pretty winnable home game 4, the series is tied 2-2 and there would be a guaranteed game 6 in denver. I doubt Mike Brown would endorse such an idea. As a new coach, he can't afford a first round exit. He wouldn't do anything to jeopardize their chances.

It's hard to convince anybody they threw a game where Kobe and Bynum both played 41+ minutes, and Gasol/Sessions played 38+. They lost to a team that saw game 3 at home as a must win.... the same situation we will face vs Utah. Can't go to sleep early like the Lakers did

The Nuggets if they were fully healthy would be up 2-1. They miss Wilson Chandler and Fernandez in the worst way....

Mom has a big attitude. Must have met up with Ray Allen's mom.

What happened to the parents with the big smiles who sit back and clap? This lady was ready to talk smack and fist pump. We got to see her practically all night long. Is she proud or angry... ? I guess because she played at a high level she is still on the floor with the attitude.

It will be interesting to see what kind of MWP returns after a stint sitting out. People that are not all there with lots of time...What kind of player comes back?... and with Kobe taking over again, does Artest become irrelevant offensively again.

Assuming the Lakers are not taken 3 straight of course...

Whatever the reason, I had Denver -3 1/2, so I'm happy

After watching Shaq turn her son into a punch line this year, it was probably satisfying to see him do well in a big game. To his credit, McGee was very diplomatic in the post game interview, both about his critics and about his mom.

Stop trying to pad your post count.

There is no such thing as a "bad" thread about a Laker's playoff loss.

I am on board with the Lakers suck, and KoMe is a chucker theories.

They will need WP to have any chance against OKC, and now they only have to be without him for game 1 if they win out against Denver.

Amazing how soft Gasol has become, BTW.

I don't believe they tanked its just too risky to do that during the playoffs. I feel every loss in the playoffs is more magnified then a regular season loss because its 1 loss closer to elimination. It makes no sense to tank because you never know if your opposition could end up winning more games. I just don't see how anybody would risk that even with suspension. If Denver ties it 2-2 it could go 7 games.

Given the choice between going up 3-0 in the series against Denver, or having Ron Artest back for an extra game against Oklahoma City, you seriously think the Lakers would decline the 3-0 series lead???????

Agreed its dangerous to drop games in the playoffs. People have to look at it this way why would you rather be up 2-1 then 3-0 considering its proven that no team ever has comeback from an 0-3 deficit in NBA history. To me that is just stupid to play that type of strategy its like playing Russian Roulette. Also factor in the longer you play a series the more you are at risk for injuries.

As Jim Rome used to say, have a take and don't suck. You are 0-2 from where I sit.

Please stop distracting from the primary task at hand, making fun of the Fakers after a loss. Worthless, what are you a covert Fakers fan? You should just stay off threads you don't like, rather than insult those who are interested in the discussion.

I was impressed with McGee (and big Momma), since I never heard of the guy until last night. Bynum blowing a gasket over the goal tend non call deserves special mention, what an idiot.

McGee > Bynum = priceless.
