Overnight, a car bomb went off killing 47 in Iraq. Arkawai is claiming responsibility and couldn't care less about human life. Several in here( NbaDan & Exstatic) vented rage when an American chopper killed some "innocents" the other day. I wonder if they sanction this kind of action. They will probably attempt to just sweep this kind of thing under the rug.

These are just the opening shots in the Iraqi civil war. It gets worse from here.

But what about the deaths here Exstatic? You were out of your skin when we caused some deaths. Double standard?

Why are you getting your panties in a wad, Hook? They're just Iraqi's, and not Americans, RIGHT?

I here ya buddy....women and children clear out....men, lineup and be counted....this city is gonna be flattened.
Just people that were living like kings under saddam's rule, and now have to fend for themselves like the rest of the iraqi people....they are understandably pissed, but tough shit...flatten the iraqi beverly hills and be done with it.

The more this happens, the longer we stay. It's unfortunate... both sides want the US out of Iraq, but we are forced to stay and fight because of stupidity.

Truer words were never spoken. There is no good exit strategy. What will probably happen is that the elections will happen, we will declare mission accomplished (yet again), will leave the Iraqis to their own devices, and in 10 years, there will be another Afghanistan/Taliban type of state in the Middle East.

or we could continue to train the iraqi's to defend their own cities and offer support from our iraqi military bases, preferably via airstrikes...and remove the american presence in the streets slowly but surely....

Where is the ire?? I think what you mean is "Where is the outrage?"
Yes, this is an outrageous crime of Iraqis perpetrated on Iraqis. Now that Iraq's government has sovereignty, I say let them take care of it. I do not want the US to do their dirty work, but that is what we'll end up doing due to our sucky post-war planning.

People are dying in Iraq, does it really matter who does the killing?

So Bush screwed up and it's "sucky post-war planning."
How does this "dirty work" differ from what we did in WWI, WWII, Korea, Iraq/Kuwait Pt. I, Bosnia, etc.?
Oh that's right, we were doing the rest of the world's "dirty work", and the new Iraq doesn't belong to any of those groups.

Because we didn't "cowboy" it alone in any of those scenarios...

General Frank's sign for the accomplishing the mission of defeating the Ba'athist regime and toppling Saddam Hussein's reign of terror.

It actually came out of General Franks mouth. But, yeah, that you mention it, I've found this Administration to be a breath of fresh air where honesty and integrity are concerned.
