No one will draft another Tim Duncan, but our drafts continue to be pretty effective. We didn't even need a lottery pick to draft a top-5 rookie this year, and even our failed picks can apparently play rotation minutes for the Mavs. If we ever drop off to where we can actually draft in the lottery a time or two, all bets are off.

Edit: for a shitty NBA city, it's interesting that we have the highest local TV ratings in the NBA.
