now I remember why I quit listening to Rome...zzzz

As if the smack off wasnt lame enough, he has to rep the "hack off" for four hours a day as well?

Yeah I was just telling a co-worker if Manu wasn't going to be on I wouldn't be listening to this guy. How does he manage to sound so full of himself while simultaneously being so uninteresting?

Yeah I'm tired of him too. I listen to the beginning to hear who the guests are but his show is boring

Rome has been stale for a LONG time. I would say Dan Patrick was stale from the inception.

once in a while I'll tune into DP, once in a great while I'll tune into Cowherd

all other sports media is unbearably awful

Cowherd toots the espn company horn too much. I want lakers yankees blah blah blah. Big markets good, small markets bad and just fodder. No one cares about them. he has no shame admitting it either. I just find it sort of a conflict of interest when you own the rights to broadcast the nba, and choose to blatantly ignore good teams just because they are in a smaller market. The only reason he talks about okc is because they are tied to la because of ron artest.

Its his show so he can do what he wants, so I choose not to listen anymore.

Herd hasn't even been talking about Spurs. He says they are OLD every single day and not worth talkking about

I never listen to any of those clowns, and any interview with any Spurs is going to be a canned response interview. We all know what they will say. It's not like Manu is going to demand a trade and call Pop a pimply faced old faggot.

There is a reason why he got taken off ESPN tv Channel daily lineup. This guy is more boring then rain.

He took himself of ESPN tv when he joined CBS, tbh.

Around here, rain is pretty exciting.

That's what they're going with. You dont quit the leading network in sports news to go work for CBS. lol

Unless they're paying him triple or something like that.

Rome is terrible. He almost never talks about sports, and just reads his "clones' smack." Stupid. The DP show is actually hilarious. But when I actually want to hear sports talk, the Herd is the best option, but its too bad he always puts the Spurs off. And he does talk quite a bit about LA, but thats because his show is in morning rush hour for the west coast, as opposed to Mike and Mike. The good thing about Herd is he actually talks sports most of the time, which is actually rare on AM radio

First thing you read is ESPN decided not to renew his contract, not the other way around.

The gimp probably wanted more money or be more involve in the network. ESPN probably told him take this xx amount of money or walk.

The herd talks about football at nausia. He's a grade A clown who talks about the same shit for three hours before he goes off the air. If he talks NBA at all, its the heat, Lakers or jeremy lin.

Read the update. Do you think I would post something to contadict myself?

Edit- nothing wrong with wanting to be more involved, it means more money and facetime.

Morning radio is Dunham and Miller with Gordon Keith on 1310 The Ticket in Dallas. If you don't live in Dallas then TuneIn radio app has it.

1310 The Ticket (the original "Ticket", not some lame ass copy elsewhere) is pretty damn good all day long. They are Mavs homers but still alot of respect for the Spurs up here. ESPN radio sucks ass. That Herd guy sounds like hes got a mouth fulll of marbles (or something else). Rome needed his ass kicked by that LA quarterback dude.
