Not really.

This was a expected win from Memphis. I doubt they can win 3 straight, specially with the home cooking the Clippers get at home.

Are you watching the game? They are consistently feeding the bigs like they should have done in earlier games. If I am Memphis fan, I am confident going forward.

Clippers will adjust. They're just not gonna lay there and take it.

Expect game 6 to be alot closer with Clippers getting most of the calls.

Duncan is much healthier this time around if we play Memphis. Also we will have Splitter and Diaw ready from the outset. Not to mention Manu is minus the broken elbow and we are still pissed about last year.

The sad part about this game tonight is it started at 9:30, and second half starts 11:15? Ugh, another almost 3 hour game!

Jackson's grit too benefits the entire team, even rubbed off on Bonner I think lol...

And then there's that fella Parker, I think he's got something to prove.

They are terrify of this team for some reason.

I expect the Grizz to win, especially with Paul hurt again and LA in 3 quarter court mode, chucking from outside all game.

If so, maybe the 2nd round will be more interesting than watching the Blake highlights even if the Spurs blow out the Clips by 20. Memphis gets no press either. That would really piss off the league.

good point but then again, the Grizz are probably the most physical grind out team in the entire playoffs. you won't get past them without a few bruised ribs and strained leg joints at a minimum

I am almost rooting for Clips to win the series. they are already hurting and tired

With Griffin and Paul banged up it could be tough for the Clippers to pull off the win in game 6. If Griffin's injury is serious, then Memphis has a good chance of winning this series in 7. I think Paul will be ok and play well and he could just be enough to pull out just one more win.

I hope the Clips pull out a win tomorrow, going all out. This way the Spurs would have to play a hobbling Clips team, which the Spurs will definitely make quick work of in round 2.

They would just have to wait for the OKC and more than likely the Lakers to beat up on each other.

This would be ideal, but somehow I don't think the grizzlies are going to drop the ball now that they're rolling and both Paul & Griffin are dinged up.

The exchange Gay in/ Battier out has dropped Memphis BB IQ by some 50 Units.
Out of a total of 60.

The guy is in the same class as RJ in terms of loserness.

Still I think Clippers will advance.

I have been a Spurs fan for almost 30 years and will continue..however im not a young kid anymore and with growing up I have become more of a realist fan..instead of a homer. With that being said dont you guys think its a little ironic that your ripping on cp3 and the clipps for flopping when parker/ginobili are just as bad, if not worse?? It seems like ginobili has caught on latley with the refs calling less and less of his flops, but I must say TP has gotten really good at it even in todays game!! Paul and griffin are bad yes, but my guess is they probably learnt the tactics from the Spurs lol

Ginobili, yes. He's a major flopper. Parker? I don't think I've ever seen him flop before, and I watch all the games, so I'm not sure what to make of that observation.

Parker flops...he just does such a good job of disguising it that it takes a trained eye to notice..it wasnt that long ago that one of the announcers of the game called him out after acting as if he was hit in the mouth..review showed he wasnt hit anywhere near the mouth area!

Leetonidas

Applying the word "flopping" to both Manu and Paul implies that they're doing the same thing. That couldn't be further from reality. To use a somewhat blue metaphor, it's like saying a "player" and a rapist do the same thing to get tail, just because neither is the open-a-door-for-a-lady gentleman.

Just a few examples, Manu has NEVER done anything like this, while this stuff is Paul's bread and butter:

So no, Manu is nowhere near Pauls league when it comes to flopping.

all it takes is for the clippers' jump shots to not fall in game 6 and suddenly the series goes back to memphis for the closeout. there's no reason the spurs shouldn't be afraid of the grizzlies. if they play inside out, the spurs are going up against their weakness. spurs are a different team but parker always struggles against conley and the spurs depend on parker even more this year.

Horse
05-10-2012, 12:37 PM
The only problem I see with this Spurs team is they sometimes lose focus when they get ahead early. I believe we have a better shot at sweeping memphis than the clips because they will be more determined and focused to beat memphis than probly any team they see the rest of the way.

Depends if the grizz pound the ball to whoever blake is guarding. If they do that they blow out the clips in both games against a banged up team. However if mem decides to play up and down and chuck bad long range jumpers the series is the clips to win.

If the clips have to win game 6 so that we don't play back to backs I'd rather have flop city win. obv I'd rather play lac cuz there's no way they can beat the spurs. Mem when they play smart have a much better chance of beating the spurs.
