This is why I think 90% of fans are idiots:

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/story/2012-05-08/2012-Power-Rankings/54833104/1

Giants are ranked 10th and 49ers 17th. No way the Giants aren't at least a top 5 team, and the 49ers should be in at least the top 10. Colts are a midpoint team? How the fuck do they figure? Panthers last?

Offseason rankings are just so fucking pointless.

I think you should rephrase and say 90% of USA Today readers are idiots. Their readers probably represent only 1% of NFL fans.

:lol The fans putting the Jets/Falcons/Chargers ahead of the Giants is hilarious. Way of the world bro.

The top 5 teams...

Packers
Pats
Niners
Giants
Ravens

Fans can argue who belongs where there.

FWIW I have the Colts at 8-8 this season as well. They will be a lot better on offense in 2012 with Luck under center than paying the QB most likely to make you go 0-16 (Painter) to start for them. Not to mention they're going Gronkowski/Hernandez 2.0 on offense and that's worked good for New England.

Considering the Colts record last year, its safe to say they have nowhere to go but up.

Colts 5-11 at best

It's because people only focus on their own teams. They don't know much about others so it's all guesswork for them.

I think their new defensive scheme will be an overall improvement on that side of the ball too. Obviously they need cornerbacks, but Bethea & Zbikowski at safety is certainly loads better than the revolving door they've had at SS since Sanders had that failed Weapon X operation where his bones were bonded with glass instead of adamantium.

Luck is probably already a middle of the pack NFL starting QB without even taking a snap yet. I'd even put him above a guy like Tony Romo. Their offense will be a lot better this year. Luck probably won't have Cam's rookie numbers but I bet you all he get's close, at least in passing stats.

Guarantee it. Romo is trash and the lights go out in the fourth quarter. Both in game and in the season.

JT just fishing for 90210 to come in here and make an ass of himself par per etc.

Det guy has an alarm shoved up his colon that buzzes everytime someone talks bad about Romo. He'll be in here soon enough

If Cowboy fan wants to tie Pittsburgh in Super Bowl wins, they should know Romo is not the dude to do it by now. 90210 is welcome to come in here and get the business from me again if he wants to deny that.

What's Luck going to be better than Romo at this coming year?

Pick a stat

I doubt Luck comes in and throws 4,000 as a rookie. So Romo probably gets more pass yards than him. But likely stats Luck will beat Romo in are:

Wins
Rush Yards
Rush TD
Comp %
TD:INT

Blake

Yeah, I can see the rushing stats. Most rook QBs like to run.

But i don't see any way Luck beats him on those last two passing stats.

No to Wins, Comp%, and ratio...not likely in his first year. In 2013 I'd bet on him to top Romo in all 5, though

Wins? Are you serious? There's no way the Colts win more than the Cowboys this year. Luck is playing with a bad defense and past Reggie Wayne his main targets being a concussion-prone Austin Collie (who caught only 1 TD this past year), Donnie Avery, a rookie tight end (Colby Fleener), and Quan Cosby? Highly doubtful he'll play better than Romo.

He's got two stud rookie TE's in Fleener and Allen. As recent history has shown, rookie TE's make an immediate impact. I doubt he wins more than Romo in his first year, but year 2 he probably will.
