This has been a great series, regardless of who wins. A Pistons loss would be a little bit more bearable against another underrated, defensive minded team like San Antonio rather than the media's darling Miami Heat. If I had to watch Shaq hoist up another trophy... :pctoss Even their fans were morons, their reasoning for the Heat being the best was that their players were better looking and that they had more celebrities attend their games. Idiots...

lol I've been wanting to get that out of me for awhile...

Anyways, I'm looking forward to a great game 7. May the best team win! (Detroit) :lol

lol no really. This has been a great series and whoever wins deserves it, although a game 7 loss for the Spurs would sting for some time.

its not the time to be nice. its time for war paint, a game face and a green helmet. timmy needs to go back to dunking on wallace. naz needs to FLOOR somebody for the helluvit (like billups did to tony). make them fear the rim. tony needs to crawl up in billup's anus...and stay there the whole game. bowen needs to act like he is talking a secret to ginobili, but say loud enough for hamilton to hear:" after he makes his first jumpshot i'll foul his mask" so rip would be nervous whenever he takes a jumpshot. manu needs to dunk on somebody...anybody...dunk on a teammate for goodness sakes. he needs to be wreckless. we need to intimidate them by showing some bravado. they wont expect it. they expect a soft spur team that will shoot fadeaways and jump hooks and stand with our hands straight up on defense. we need to block shots in ppl's faces, out of bounds, on the ref, anywhere. i know im not the only one that wishes thjey could talk to the team before i game. i would rip into their lil bumholes like michael jackson in a playground.

oh yea...SPURS IN 7. like someone said, i dont believe, i KNOW (i was making a joke in this post so dont bash me for being insensetive) sorry i take that back, this is war.

thank you, abdenour power, for an objective opinion and not a bunch of smack. It is refreshing and this next game is a toss up. It's the best series in a number of years with some real excitement in a game that will probably be decided at the buzzer and I pray the Spurs are the winners but understand the Pistons could do it, much as I would HATE that! The Spurs need to pound the Pistons more like they did in the first two games and take the Pistons out of it. They need to be just a rough as the Pistons have been and, if that means throwing some hard fouls like the Pistons have done and gotten away with a bunch, then DO IT! Make then whine! Somebody from the Spurs always be at the refs ears, in a nice way, like Sheed has done all through this series. I can't believe the officials let him get away with that. It's ridiculous! I won't complain about the officiating because there have been bad calls and no calls when there most definitely been some for both sides but the Pistons seem to be getting a bit more benefit from them. Hopefully, there will be a balance in the calls and what is a foul at one end of the court is still a foul at the other end of the court. When "Big Ben" or any other, Pistons or Spurs, player flops, then call it but do it at both ends of the court! Tony cannot complain to Pop about him being fouled and not getting the calls. He needs to go in there and FIGHT for those calls! Be aggressive! At times, their ball movement was wonderful to see and then they would stop and they would stop driving the lane to the basket and settled for far too many outside shots and 3-point attempts. They should have been driving the lane much more. Make the refs call those fouls! Mainly, the Spurs must want this title more than they have shown except in three games (3,4,6). I want to see them mop up the floor with the Pistons!

Let's face it, this game is a toss up.

I'm a fan of both teams. I live in Detroit and the Pistons come number one, at any point when the Pistons aren't in the playoffs, I'm rooting for the Spurs. I cried when the Spurs won in 2003 (because of David Robinson), I cried when my Pistons won last year and no matter what happens I will probably be crying tommorrow, lol. When I was young Hakeem broke my heart all the time, like in 1994.

The series has finally balanced out now. It's a series. Two blowouts on home court, then once again, the same. Then the away team pulling out a close win, once again-the same. Now, it's 48 minutes, whomever plays better wins, presumably.

I think the Pistons will win, but I'm not sure really at all. I think tommorrow will be a really close game and hopefully make this series a classic, which I think it can be considered, depending on tommorrow's results.

If the Pistons win, I'd say Chauncey will get his second MVP most likely, but Ben Wallace is another solid candidate, his defense and performances have been great since Game 2.

As for the Spurs, it's really hard to say. I'm going far enough to say give it to Bruce Bowen, he's been great. Horry, as well (that guy is amazing). I asssume Duncan will get it, but I don't think he should, he has had a bad series (funny how he has faired this season in the Finals, without the Admiral, but also against a great defensive team), in comparision to how good of a player he is. Ginobili was all over early, dissapeared in Detroit and has played okay since. Maybe Parker then? It's hard to tell for you guys, a lot of candidates for sure---nobody has been purely dominant for 4 games or so.

Billups has been the most dominant player in the series.

I hope the Pistons win tommorrow and regardless of ratings and whatnot, this has been a great series and awesome to watched two disciplined teams play games the way it should be play and watching the two teams make such major adjustments has been incredible.

----Best of luck to all you guys----

Billups has been the most dominant player in the series.

I clipped this from NBA.com once I saw the amount of movement Chauncey's done.

Selected after sophomore year by Boston Celtics in first round (third pick overall) of 1997 NBA Draft...

Traded by Celtics with G Dee Brown, F John Thomas and F Roy Rogers to Toronto Raptors for G Kenny Anderson, C Zan Tabak and F Popeye Jones (February 18, 1998). ...

Traded by Raptors with draft rights to G Tyson Wheeler to Denver Nuggets in three-way deal in which Raptors received 1999 first-round draft choice from Nuggets and draft rights to F Zeljko Rebraca, G Michael Williams and 1999 or 2000 first-round draft choice from Minnesota Timberwolves and Timberwolves received C Dean Garrett and G Bobby Jackson from Nuggets (January 21, 1999). ...

Traded by Nuggets with G/F Ron Mercer, F Johnny Taylor and draft considerations to Orlando Magic fro F/C Chris Gatling, F Tariq-Abdul-Wahad, a future first-round draft pick and cash considerations (February 1,2000). ...

Signed as free agent by Minnesota Timberwolves (August 8, 2000)...

Signed as a free agent by the Detroit Pistons (July 17, 2002).

I'm guessing that Chauncey probably went through some growing pains in Boston, since he was drafted as a sophomore out of CU. I lived in Denver while he was a Nugget and trust me, they only pub he used to get was that he was a local legend that could shoot the three, but wasn't really anything special as an NBA player. He came off the bench before he got traded to the Magic.

Now, I sort of lost track of him until last season when he flat out exposed Gary Payton's Glove mystique in the Finals. The question I have for Piston fans is this: When did Billups start becoming this force of nature he is now?

In many way it has been steady, but Larry Brown did (against much heel-dragging) did seem to turn him from a shooter to a full court-general.

But most specifically, it has been the last couple years of playoffs. He shows up when it is on the line, seems to need the concentration. Sheed & Ben are somewhat similar. Rip usually seems better in the regular season. Tay... dunno... broke out in the payoffs 2 years ago, killed Kobe last year, then had a great regular season this year but has been a little quiet in the playoffs. Probably due to being run into the ground by Wade.

As Modeleste said, Larry Brown played a huge role in his development. But it wasn't only Larry Brown. When he played for the T-Wolves, he appeared in the playoffs and really stepped up his game. That caught the eye of Joe Dumars, who recognized how valuable a talent that gets better under pressure can be. During (i think) his first year as a Piston he won us back to back games off of buzzer-beater threes. Then Larry Brown came and made him a more complete player, and he's steadily (if grudgingly) improved to what he is now. He sometimes still wants to go back to his old ways of throwing up threes left and right, but he realizes that what Larry Brown wants him to do makes him a better player.
