Kobe's name has hardly been mentioned and he didn't have a great year. I think Paul/Parker will be some form of 3/4. Parker really carried a heavier load with Tim starting VERY slowly and Manu out. It was Tony and a bunch of guys until about Valentine's Day.

Congrats to LeBron. He deserved it. He played a phenomenal regular season. :toast
I just admire this guy. So much hate on him, but nonetheless he puts up these unreal numbers season after season. Definitely the best small forward in the league (and of course better than Durant).

To say the truth if the Spurs won´t make it to the finals i would love a heat - thunder finals.
It would be around two of the best players in the NBA one with star power and the other with the "good organization" power if such a thing exists.

LeBron with the non-complimentary compliment goods.

There should be two awards.

Most Valuable Player
Most Outstanding Player

LeBron clearly most outstanding. But is he really the most valuable player to his team? A team with two other All-Stars in Wade and Bosh?

Bosh isn't so great in Miami.Wade missed 17 games and had the worst season in years. Outside them the Heat are full of scrubs.

If we change LeBron for Parker the Heat wouldn't be so great but we still being a very strong team. Where i put TP I could put Durant,Kobe or Paul.

LeBron is who most improve your team so he's the clear MVP to me.

Playoffs will be different. He will need the best from Bosh & Wade

They might as well just hand the 2013-2018 MVP's to LeBron right now if this is they way it's going to be.

He deserves it, but I still say fuck him for putting the picture of that non-dunk-on-Duncan in his locker.

Kurant deserves it more than Lebron

^ Mr. 7'6 deserves it better then both imho the league is now better then it's ever been since 2002, 7'6 did a world of good to this league by quitting it and the game has been much more entertaining w/o him

MVP and defensive player of the year awards are all about stats.

How else can you explain Camby winning DPOY awards. He sat in the lane waiting for blocks and didn't defend his man.

Wallace over Bowen all those years? Not saying Wallace isn't a great defender, but he got the benefit of the doubt because he had rebound and block stats. Bowen just played great defense.

Nash didn't deserve his 1st MVP. He only got in to the discussion once he went out injured at the same time as Barbosa. Any team without a point guard would struggle.

Lebron can't take the pressure. In each of his previous MVP runs, he did not win the championship. He is not a winner, but a loser. He will get schooled by Paul Pierce when they meet in the Eastern Conf finals like when Hakeem schooled the Admiral in D Rob's MVP year. Book it.

You can see the media power of big market teams is strong when Kobe is fourth and Parker fifth. The other part is that I think the SA (and Texas) media plays it fair as Parker only got four 1st place votes, when Kobe got two.

Durant had a few things going against him: he chucked like mad to get the scoring title, which in the past was revered, but now feels a bit immature, especially as OKC dropped to 2nd place in the West by playing quite badly at the end of the season; and the presence of Westbrook, who some, for some reason, consider a great player.

Popularity contest. It's about who means more to their team. Parker means more to us than Lebrun means to them. They would still be good without him. He wouldn't without tony.
