The Nets can offer Deron Williams a 5-year, $109 million contract. The most other teams can offer him is a 4-year, $81 million contract. about 31 minutes ago (http://twitter.com/DwainPrice/statuses/201422873770999808)

For 28 million more than anyone else can offer? Yeah probably. There's always the possibility of a sign and trade though

Well when you consider one number is larger due to the extra year the advantage isn't that great (for a guy like Williams who should be able to still get a decent contract in that 5th year if he takes a 4 year deal).

True, but he probably won't be able to command 28 million for a single season in that 5th year

Offers more years, more per year and more on aggregate.

Definitely, but the gap isn't quite as large as it appears. Still a stumbling block for other teams potentially, but was just pointing that out.

If he joins Kobe and Dwight in LA he can make the difference in endorsements easily...right now he should be at home thinking about the play-offs and what he's missing right now...In New Jersey or Brooklyn

When your teammate shoots the most in the nba you don't get endorsements.

the average salary would be 20m for him so the difference would be just 8m as opposed to 28m, and i think nigga will make the right choice between an extra 8m and a SHITLOAD of rings
He`s not worth it. That`s the problem.

Doesn't matter, it's the market value. If you need a pg you overpay for him to start the foundation.
Most franchises can't snap their fingers and have the greatest PF of all time fall in their laps.
