View Full Version : Should Pop rest the big 3 Sunday?

With OKC likely to finish off the Lakers by Saturday, if the Spurs find themselves up 3-0 by Sunday afternoon, should Pop use the back to back to rest the big 3? Is there any possibility that they could end up with a quick turnaround to the WCF like in 2008?

Also, when will somebody tell Manu to get a hair transplant?

Discuss :hat

nah... We gonna kick that Clipper ass by 30 in game 3, so our main guys will play 15 minutes.

Ok seriously, even if game 3 goes to overtime the big 3 should play in game 4.

I say rest TD in game 4, if they are up 3-0.

Warriors don't rest in the middle of battle.

They still should play and get the series over with if the Spurs are in that scenario.

However, if the Clips are up say 20+ or so by the end of the 3rd, I wouldn't be suprised if Pop rests the big 3 in the 4th.

Yes! Finally someone who understands me (No homo)

Spurs should fly the big 3 to Fiji for the weekend IMO. Let them rest their tired legs with some massage and mojitos.

No way it's the playoffs. The idea is to close this out as quickly as possible, you don't want to give them an ounce of hope or even a game for that matter. That is like throwing in the towel for a game.

Absolutely not. Pop's been managing minutes this season so that the guys could play now. I know our bench has won games without the big 3 (that feels so nice to say), but this is the playoffs and you can't start throwing games for no reason.

Rest them up by blowing the Clippers out.

Anybody who seriously thinks Pop is going to rest any of the Big 3 during the playoffs needs to go jump off a bridge.

It only takes one game to shift momentum or change the complexion of a playoff series.

Quit trollin', Nono.

An extra game means 48 more minutes someone could get injured. Win in as few as possible; although I think it would be crap if the reward for SWEEPING the first two rounds was a 3 games in 4 days scenario. (Having only one day off, while OKC had two between series would be wrong)

That said, let's win one game before we predict a sweep, - hell SEVEN more games have to be won before we need to get upset about that scenario.

^this

When you have your foot on your opponent's throat, the only sensible thing to do is follow through and snap his fucking neck.

NO LETUPS! NO MERCY!
