why not? Yeah he has some issues to work out, but I
Think spurs are the ones to get his mind right.

Yep, I'm sure that's the source of all the problems in Dallas. His in laws have probably been haranguing him since he was traded.

He just went his way to get out of Texas and you're going to ask him to come back there?
He is only going to play in two possible destinations that I can think of: a) Miami; b) Los Angeles, and it's not going to be the Clippers because he fucking hates Sterling.

No. The full MLE probably wouldn't be enough. And even if it were, I'd rather spend that money on Lorbek / re-signing Diaw.

Spurs should target Greg Oden with a vet minimum contract with incentives. He's taking a year off to rehab, something he never fully didnin Portland.

No. Diaw is the perfect flexible 4 for us. We've got to try and keep him.
And I'm not sure Lamar really cares about ball any more. Wouldn't be surprised if he never regain his Faker form.

What's the risk? I'd sign him to a three year minimum deal, paying him to rehab next year, final year team option, and locking in his Bird Rights if he blows up. You're gambling in the neighborhood of 3 million dollars
Sam Bowie actually had a couple of decent years after he got out of that shit hole Portland. No one remembers, though.
If your medical staff and trainers can get him on the floor, he would be better than any big we could get in the next three drafts or any FA bigs available. Portland just f'ed him up so bad by rushing him back too soon each time.
