It was delightful to see him on the bench for almost the entire game.:toast

I thought Bonner did pretty well other than when he bowled over Bledsoe. His defense was good, he didn't take any shots and didn't try to attack the rim (unlike Triage-o)

Bonner is not a good match up against the Clips..I was surprised Diaw didn't get more run...I thought he was tremendous out there.

We didn't exactly need him to spread the floor tonight. But I'm not sure Splitter gave us a whole lot more than Bonner would have.

The offense looked so much better with Diaw out there. Defense too, tbh. He might be my player of the game.

Bonner's minutes were limited in the 2nd half only because of the midget lineup the Clips went to. He actually played very well in the first half.

I'm thrilled we won. I'm thrilled Bonner played well. I'm thrilled Kawhi was excellent as the small ball 4.

Splitter was rusty as hell, you could see it. He'll be better next game after seeing film of some of his mistakes and his good plays. He needs to stay within himself, not try to create.

I'm thrilled that we played what I would consider a C- game overall and still lead by double digits for most of the second half.

Also surprised Diaw didn't get a lot of burn in the second half. But Bonner wasn't terrible.

Bonner sucks. Quit trying to analyze shittiness.

As long as the Spurs are winning, Matty's minutes don't matter. He'll have his MVP game soon.

His defense on Kenyon was spot on. Make him shoot 20 footers. I'll take him jacking up almost threes as opposed to anything else.

He absolutely was. Just too smart for Griffin.

Manu needs to play point and Gary SG... Either that or give Mills a shot

bonner was built for this series
stretch 4 who defends guys who cant shoot or hit free throws
diaw is the better option but if bonners gonna do well its vs this team
his absence is a reason parker couldnt get in the lane as well
as well as bledsoe/pauls defense

I think mills can give a few quality minutes.

Bonner was actually quite solid defensively, tbh. It's amazing how the playoffs roll around and his 3pt looks disappear, but if he can be out there at least providing a threat and spreading the floor while being merely adequate on D, that's a decent thing.

It's amazing how much Pop's coaching improves when he minimizes the Turd towers.

Splitter is definitely a rhythm guy and needs regular minutes to play his best.

He also had an awesome block on Blake. Made me, and the people sitting in my section, cheer like crazy.

I swear I cringed every time Neal brought the ball up court last night. :lol

We were having Neal bring the ball up and then hand off to Manu to get the half court set going. But the Clippers just pressed the hell out of Neal. Bledsoe is just as strong as Neal and much quicker. He was giving him the devil.

This was the most worrisome part about the game for me. I think having Manu bringing the ball up dealing with heavy pressure will hinder him working his magic in the half court. Parker, they really cant touch with one man bringing the ball up, its futile. Mills speed may be needed for what should be a routine part of a PGuards game; getting the ball past the half court line.

Give Vinny a polite palm clap for taking advantage.

Bonner is finally going to be used as he should. He can be more comfortable in not being asked to do too much in the playoffs now that Boris, and to some extent Jackson, are present. And add Tiago of course.

Rule #1: don't ever chase CP3 down the court when you're a big clumsy clod.

Back on the subject, Pop went with what worked last night, and you have to give him kudos for that.

I agree I am not a fan of small ball but you can't argue with what works.

I thought Bonner was surprisingly good defensively against the Jazz's big men. This series requires more athleticism and speed though.
