I've been really busy this year and haven't kept up w/ the games. Why is DeJuan Blair's role so diminished?

Looks like you haven't kept up with anything with a post count of 2.

defensive 3 second call every game

Assuming Spurs past the Clippers and they face Thunder, would you like Blair to be the 4th big? It seems that, he played well against the Thunder.

A garbage-time player that Pop mistook for an NBA starter.

To sum it up he was the weakest link. Back when he could rebound you could possibly make the argument that his rebounding could help.

He's in line at the nacho stand.

He got enough burn tonight to get a turnover.

I love Tony's story-telling in your signature Smaka. (I remember when that happened.) What I also love is Leonard never takes his eyes off the game.

Keep learning KL. You're going to be special.

Blair's been posting a lot of "emo" tweets lately -

"When times get tough, look around you. Those are the people that care."

"Goin thru so much right now I wanna explode! But I'm strong but imma fall back from everybody 4 a min! Love y'all! I'm off here 4 a min!"

"Never let people who do so little for you, Control so much of your time & emotions."

"If you don't like a situation you're in, You're the only one who can change it..."

Not sure if any of those are about his frustration for being in Pop's doghouse though :lol

I like your albums "Low" and "Heroes". Thank you for your contributions to your society.

Made it possible for Tim to not do all the heavy lifting thus making the Spurs more deadly. His role is what it is and he's following Pop's instruction to the letter. If Pop feels he has an advantage playing Blair more, he will. I think,in order, he'd do fine against the Celtics, Heat and Thunder.

i think they could afford to let blair get some run against somebody like reggie evans, where his size won't really hurt him. its not like evans is going to score on him

Already in Cleveland for one of their early 2nd round picks

YoMamaIsCallin

He got demoted to 5th big man. His mail-it-in performance in the last game of the season vs. Golden State, when he got huge minutes, jogged through the first 3 quarters, and was still visibly exhausted by the beginning of the 4th, sealed his fate.

Dude needs to get in NBA shape, get his nutrition, rest, and work out a hell of a lot more. He's just getting by on talent. That doesn't cut it for an undersized center.

Frankly he's squandering what could have been a nice career.

ughh... i had high hopes on blair after his successful rookie season

he was beast on the boards, instant energy coming from the bench and his chemistry with manu on the pnr was deadly

then whataburger happened...
and his defense went from decent to non-existent

I don't feel bad for him until Ashley Logan breaks up with him when she realizes their asses are way too similar in size.

He needs to get much nastier and not giggle or smile when he makes a silly mistake. Teddybears are cute but he needs to play like a beast instead.

Diaw/Splitter/Bonner >>>>>> Blair

Blair doesn't have a place in the Spurs rotation anymore, other than being that guy who's worse than Bonner, FFS.

It's amazing how much the BBIQ of the frontcourt improves when you take Blair out of the lineup.

I wish this guy was playing. Never understood the fascination with him. Terrible defender with no offensive game. Poor man's Reggie Evans.
