What's the problem? It's not like the 2007 cavs are making it out of the east

The EC has just been sooo boring to watch lately....I think the spurs coulda taken any of of Easts teams out with or without injuries....

If the Heat fall to the Pacers, then Thunders-Spurs in the WCF will suddenly have even higher stakes - could really be the series that will decide the NBA championship.
OKC-SAS, under such circumstances, could be one of the most intense WCF series we've seen in a decade.

Spurs have had okc's number for the last couple seasons tbh.

Who cares about the nay sayers? A championship is a championship.

The only team in the East that I was worried about was Chicago but there gown down so it will be the West

I think the Celtics have the best shot of getting out.

People have been pumping up the Celtics recently. They are now tied 2-2 with the Sixers. Can you imagine the Sixers being tied with any West playoff team, with the outside possibility of the Jazz?

Proponent of a 16 seeded tourney w/ no west/east bracketing?

I wouldn't say that the East is bad, but there isn't a clear favorite anymore due to all the injuries. I respect Boston, Indiana and Miami just as much as I do the Lakers this year.

Conferences essentially exist entirely for less travelling and easier scheduling of games, not at all for the betterment of the league. Technically a league with 87 games where every team plays the other team 3 times and then we go into a 16-team seeded tournament should provide the most entertainment and fair format, but that'll never happen

Out indefinitely, with a timeframe I've only seen estimated as "weeks."
I don't really understand how an "abdominal strain" works, though.

I would like a Spurs - Celtics finals if we beat LAC and OKC.
That would mean a chance for the Spurs to beat the best 2 teams in the east of the last 10 years, The Pistons and the Celtics.

I don't know the Pacers had a 13 game win streak going into the dance so they are much better then what people think. In a way they are a little like us a small market team that now one wants to hype.

It's really dependent on the person.
It lingers. Could be end of this series, could be for the playoffs

I'm totally okay with a Spurs-Pacers Ratings Apocalypse series. :lol
No celebrity star meltdown storylines. Just good, fundamental basketball on both ends of the court.

when the 3 clowns joined to make a superteam, it diluted the spread of talent in the east, but that also allow the emergence of new talent that was stuck behind these 3 idiots....but its still bad

Its do-able. If the NBA can schedule BTBTB than this would be a cake walk. entertaining the viewer with the most winningest teams would require these shite teams to nut up. No need to point out the obvious.

Basketball wise and in terms of matchups (TP vs Rondo, Manu vs Allen, Sjax vs Pierce, Duncan vs KG), Spurs-Celtics Finals would be great!

I want spurs-celtics in the finals. Duncan and garnett rarely saw each other in the playoffs during their primes.

Pacers-Spurs final would be about as great as it gets for the old ABA fans. Only once since the ABA joined with the NBA has two ABA teams met in the finals (Nets-Spurs).
