No. Haven't you seen that our bench can't do anything without Tim or Tony.

Actually he could do even worse.

Put them on a plane to SA tonight.

Even Pop isn't that smug.

he could rest the whole team and we'd still come back from infinite points down against these scrubs. tbh.

Never ask that question in the playoffs.

If the Lakers win tonight - meaning that the OKC-LAL series will be guaranteed to go at least six games - I see no reason why Popovich would rest the starters. Better to win, sweep the Clippers, go home and begin resting, knowing that there will be at least five days of rest or so.

Hell no...In the playoffs, you play to win every game.

...At full strength.

Seriously, it would not be an unreasonable tactic to cap their minutes at around 20.

Though it's possible that the Clippers will roll over early tomorrow.

they should play and sweep, they'll get more rest like that

Nope, just manage minutes, play to win.

I have to admit that this is an entertaining idea. One more home game revenue if the bench could not finish up the series. And they might.
The psyche factor alone is almost worth it.

I dunno. If it guarantees no injuries, I don't mind.

Perfect timing to test Patty Mills at PF and get Blair some minutes.

The LAL-OKC might go deep, so having a game on Tuesday might not be a bad idea.

Yes. Will be a blowout by 3rd. No need to play.

I mean, I don't think Pop should do it but I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't let the Big 3 play extended minutes.

Just heard that Peter Holt just called a mandatory meeting at his office in SA tomorrow at 7pm for Pop, Manu, Timmy and Tony.

I do not think Spurs can win without those guys agaisnt Clippers tomorrow.

Gee, I wonder why Peter wants a game 5 on Tuesday......

Would hate to see the big three ruled out tomorrow. Do you guys recall that game in Portland before the All-Star break? Terrible game plus some bench guys injured (Kawhi and... Splitter?). IMO the key is the balance. If I had to place a bet, I'd say that Pop won't play Duncan and Parker extended minutes.

BTW, I read somewhere that if Game 4 is delayed too much by Kings-Coyotes hockey, it will be 4pm (Pacific) on Monday. Any word on that?

Yep, confirmed:

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/eye-on-basketball/19096051/report-spursclippers-game-4-could-be-delayed-due-to-nhl-playoffs

Hockey game starts at 12:30.

Takes 2:15 to switch floors and then they need 90 minutes to warm up, so that's 3:45 total needed after the end of the hockey game.

So if the hockey game ends at 5 pm, they could start at about 9 pm PCT, which I imagine is about the latest that they would consider.

+1. Pop's going for the kill. Then rest.

Westbrook just got injured because of the court at staples. I may consider the whole rest thing.

Yeah, we've seen this problem with ice under the hardwood before. And since the most obvious problem for the Spurs right now is an injury to one of our starters or Manu, I'm really nervous about the court. Especially at night.

We could sit the big3 and we could win the game anyway tbh.

No, you never tank in the playoffs. But Duncan may have his minutes cut. Since OKC won't sweep the Lakers and the Spurs could sweep the Clippers, there will be some days for rest after the game 4.
