Obviously we still need to finish off the Clippers but assuming we do, who do you guys think we match up better against in round 3: Lakers or Thunder? Lakers have the size/experience and Kobe but we've beat them handedly a couple times this year. I think the Thunder are more dangerous but they only have 3 legitimate scorers. Thoughts?

I think we can grind either team down but that said Kobe really amazes me sometimes. He consistently does shit that is just damn near impossible.

I think the Spurs match up better against the Lakers, but also worry about them more. Losing to the Lakers hurts really bad.

Thunder have no inside scoring presence but who can play D. Lakers have 2 inside monsters offensively and defensively.

I think i'd rather face the Thunder.

Thunder, because Artest is mentally unstable and might hurt one of our guys if we start to crush them.

It really doesnt matter.

Our ball movement, combined with our gunners, will dominate either of them.

If I was pushed to choose one of them, I'd take the Thunder as an easier matchup (we match up much better with them than the Lakers) and having the satisfaction of making all the talking heads everywhere to eat a huge steaming pile of crow when the spurs dominate them.

Like I said though, bring on either of them.... Right now, it looks like Lakers are going to force another game.... If Spurs can crush the Clippers tomorrow and get some rest, it doesnt matter who we face.

Either way i think we'll fuck either team up

Spurs would take both teams in 4 or 5 but I would much rather have the thunder they are the most overatted team in the playoffs, there lucky to just to still be in the post season they had some flucky lucky wins early on like the first 2 games in OKC and game 2 agaisnt the lakers. Also with the thunder I fell the spurs would just run circles around them all they do is jump shoot they never throw the ball in the post much rather have the jumpshooting team than the more physical team.

OKC is a much better overall team, but we matchup well against them and create serious problems for them.

The Lakers are a signficantly inferior team to OKC, but they matchup really well against us.

Either will be tough. I think I go with the Thunder though because the Lakers are bound to be gifted at least one game where Kobe has 20 more free throws than the rest of the Spurs combined. I'd rather knock off the two seed in the WCF and watch both LA Teams go home crying in round 2.

Looks like its OKC. Who really thinks Lakers are gonna prevent a close out in OKC @ 3-1?

Agreed. We won't sweep OKC. They're too talented. I'm still confident we can beat em though. I think Pop will watch a lot of tape on how the Lakers defended them tonight cause they had a lot of success early.

It's gonna be OKC and a tough series. 6 or 7.. But Spurs if healthy should pull it out and make the finals..

We need to close out tomorrow because OKC is closing it out on Monday.

Agreed. We need to rest up for this series. Back to backs are tough though. Pop needs to manage their minutes

Kobe just threw Gasol under the bus in the post game interview. No way they come back next game.

Doesn't matter because with the way the Spurs are playing, we'll beat either team.

What did he say???

Basically that he couldn't trust to throw him the ball in crunch time again because he didn't have the stones to take and make big shots when needed.

Sounds like step 1 in demanding he be dealt..

Tim was really dominant in the last 2 games against the Thunder defensively with 17.5 rebounds & 3.5 blocks per game, he made Perkins a non factor. Tim should be great offensively as well, nobody on the Thunder can bother his shot.

The Spurs have had the Thunder number. I trust Leonard to do a good defensive job on Durant which will cause Westbrook to think he has to do everything and try to take over games. Pop just has a way to make good players think they have to take over games and disclude teammates. On top of that, Thunder can't guard the Spurs. Spurs pick & roll and ball movement is too much for OKC to handle. I'll give OKC one game due to hot shooting. I'd take Spurs in 5 over OKC.

Either team will allow the Spurs to use their full bench more effectively, especially SJAX who has been limited due to match ups vs the Clippers.

That's what happens when Kobe dominates the ball so much. Other guys get uncertain when they have the ball.
