View Full Version : Where will Pau land in the offseason?

I think Pau's days with the Lakers are coming to an end... I think his stock went down this season, thus I don't know the Lakeshow can get as much for him as they did early in the season.

Where will he go, and for who? Is it time to call up young Gasol from Memphis?

I am so glad that Matt Barnes is coming off the books this season. Ron Artest's team option should be picked up.

As for Pau, it breaks my heart that we have to trade him, but it really has come to that point. I envisioned him finishing his career in LA.

He's going to play with Rubio in Minnesota. No way LA gets Derrick Williams in trade now though; then again, it is Kahn.

Pau isn't an anchor player anymore, but I'm sure somebody will not get the memo and pick him up anyways. Knicks would probably pick him up, it wouldn't make sense, but the moves they make hardly ever make sense anyways

For who? Amare? There's no way they're letting go of Chandler after winning DPOY...

And Amare has an uninsured contract that I don't think the Lakeshow wants to touch...

Maybe Houston (again)? They have a ton of guys that could help the Lakers with their complete lack of depth.

For Melo. If the Lakers could somehow get a guy who was willing to jack up a ton of contested shots, I feel like they could really go places. :lol

Who wants Gasol's contract? He's clearly on a massive decline. Sure as hell hope Houston doesn't trade for him - for my Rockets fan friends.

Maybe one of Culburn's 4 or 5 teams.

It's the knicks :lol

That's really the only place that would take him. If it were up to me, I'd swap LA with Pau before LA breaks his kneecaps in that cursed city.

As a pawn for a 3 way trade involving the Magic & the Nets ?

Lakers get trade exception & perhaps a protected 1st# pick from the Nets, Magic get Slim Gasol, and Nets get Dwight Howard (ofcourse, Deron stays a Net). :D

Dunno about that... I think since Isiah isn't the GM anymore, they actually have stopped with the retarded trades.

I can see a Gasol swap with Memphis though, but not sure what the salary situation is.

Pau could come to SA if Tim's salary is halved.

Wouldn't that put Bynum at PF? Bynum is starting to lose his finesse and become too hot headed to flourish in that position.

I'm pretty sure Morey still really wants him, which is disappointing. We might be willing to part with Lowry this time around if we can re-sign Dragic.

Good luck.

don't think the market is hot for gasol, he is putting up the same shit numbers as last year when he he "gf problems". If hey can't get anyone he might get amnestied. Think its gonna take a 3 team Deal. Don't know if the numbers work but from my head a minesotta Houston Lakers deal might work. Pekovic to Houston Williams and Lowry and buddinger with Knicks 1st to Lakers gasol to Minnesota. They really want to pair the Spanish guys without giving up love so this works.

Would be fun if he landed on a team like Dallas.

And :lol:lol:lol at thinking Gasol is done. Just because he has been put at PF spot when he is obviously a center in a shortened season, with Kobe chucking 30 FGA a game and having to share the ball with Bynum, doesnt mean he is done. He is the exact same player as he was 2, 3 years ago, he is just utilized poorly.

Swap Bynum for Howard? Kevin Love?

If u can swap Bynum for Love u do it in a fucking second. If u swap for Howard, then u get rid of Gasol for a legit PG, who actually has a decent jumpshot/ can shoot 3's and some fill in shooters and call it a day

How about Atlanta? Gasol for Josh smith. Replace a pussy with a moron.

if the lakers start to rebuild this summer Pau would be the 1st to receive the blade, kobe's contract is too big and he has a trade-veto clause in his contract so he's impossible to get trimmed. Pau would be a great addition to our squad as well as to them mavs where the position 5 is rather weak, but when you'll have to pay almost 20m a year for his service, you gotta think twice tbh

My guess is Minnesota. Derrick Williams, snt Beasley etc. T-Pupps got assets to get Pau. Rubio, Love, Gasol and whatever left.

Morey would find his house mysteriously burnt to the ground if he traded for Gasol again. Trade Lowry anywhere else but to the Lakers.

This.

He has the Olympic Games to show his level.

This year in Los Potatos Lakers he was playing out of the paint shooting JS. That's never was his best game.

With Pau's contract? Lakers doesn't have a lot of options. Minnesota can still offer some younger players. Chicago may reopen their trade talks, but will Lakers accept Boozer? Atlanta badly needs a shake up. Perhaps Josh Smith for Gasol though I think this makes Los Angeles worse.

Maybe Portland? Toronto? Heck, I won;t be surprised if he finds his way back in Memphis.
