When things were going bad he hit clutch shots, hit clutch FTs.

Best game from him as a Spur considering the circumstances.

Agree. Most don't notice but he started the comeback.

He contributed when it mattered. The concern that he will turn into Mason needs to end.

He may have had a bad match-up for the series and his defense is terrible.

But no one can deny that the guy hits big shots. He needed this kind of game.

Those three's were ice cold. Yeah, the guy has issues at times, but no one can deny that Neal is an assassin.

Neal with it!

The Mason comparison should have ended when he hit the 3 against Memphis last year.

Clips quickness was worst matchup for him. Look for much better results in the WCF against that little troll.

Was he responsible for guarding bledsoe???

Gary Neal was huge. He was on a different wavelength, so moments don't really matter to him, he just goes out and hits his shots. He's had to work for his paycheck before. This isn't new to him.

Looks like Pop made the right call on Neal @ backup point guard over Mills. He's been right on damn near everything he's done this year. Brilliant coaching job.

This series was a bad matchup for him so he needed to hit shots like that in order to make himself a net positive. I was glad to see him do it tonight.

Gary tries his ass off. His bad D is never due to lack of effort and he's got ice cold blood in those veins when it counts. I'm happy he's a Spur.

Neal should matchup better with Fisher next round. He really had no chance against Bledsoe. That guy is ridiculously fast.

This dude's a workman. I could imagine him wearing a three piece suit out there, hitting those shots. Just another day at work. Of course, I'm so grateful to have him on the team. Having somebody that just knocks down shots is so valuable.

Neal should now definitely be used in the OKC series. Playing against the Clippers was probably the worst possible matchup for him. Aside from being too slow and getting caught in screens, he played decent. He is a primary reason the Spurs have advanced today and not on Tuesday.

I'd say Tim is primarily that reason on both ends of the floor.

Neal, and to varying lesser extents the other bench players, made up for the pretty terrible game three they played. I'm glad they did and glad Pop stuck with them and didn't make the panic moves I would have.

LOL but who is he going to guard against OKC? The only guy he can stand up against is Fisher so I think Fisher's minutes are his only chances of playing.

He can guard Thabo/Fisher

fisher for obvious reasons
and all Sefolosha does is sit in the corner and shoot 3s

Gary Neal is the Spurs best scorer outside of the big 3. Imo even better than Stephen Jackson. I hope he stays a Spur for a long time...

Big props to Neal for not letting his ball handling struggles affect his shooting.

If Gary Neal is free to play as SG gunner off the bench, he is a ridiculously good scorer.

His in-between game is very, very good when he isn't saddled with backup PG responsibilities.

I love that G Neal is getting some recognition from ST. He works his butt off and goes 100% all the time. He's such a great shooter. He has been overshadowed by Green's terrific all around game this year, but he's still an Ace. So he's not the best ball handler in the world, we know that's not his strength, so Neal with it! So clutch.

I'm starting to wonder if Neal is the best pure shooter in the NBA. The shots guys like Bonner, Novak, etc. take aren't just more open than Neal's shots, they're waaaaaaaaaay more open, to a ridiculous degree. That Neal's has a career 3P% of .419 taking the types of shots he does is borderline insane.

On a totally separate note, it kind of saddens me that announcers basically can't talk about his past and the unproven rape allegation, because of the negative connotations it would bring up. I totally understand why, but it's really a fascinating story and does a great job illustrating what he's gone through to get where he is. His backstory is one of the most intriguing around, but that the word "rape" is involved makes it taboo to talk about. Kinda sad.

He should play well vs Thunder in WCF.I mean even his defense can handle Fisher, right?
Fisher playing 21 MPG in playoffs for Thunder.
An oppurtunity for Kneal with it.
