You were on call until that family emergency popped up. :downspin:
My boss is pretty cool. I'll probably ask her if she'll do me a solid and take call for the rest of the evening Sunday so I can watch the game with beer in hand.

DPG and Harlem weren't wrong..

Lakers were 1 of 3 contenders in the West..they lost 2 games due to Kobe chokejobs, both games could have easily went the other way, and the Lakers could have had a 3-1 series lead..the difference in the series was just a few plays..

:cry

Kobe was going to shoot them out of the series... what you called right was Fisher leaving was going to make it worse

Series is 3-1 the other way if kobe doesn't choke away a 7pt lead and shoot 2-10 in the 4th tbh.

Throw Game 5 on the rest all you want but the Lakers proved they could hang with the Thunder until Kobe choked em out of it.

Like I said they are better. Brent Barry just made the same point we don't have enough creators. Just because we could of shoulda won game 2 doesn't mean OkC doesn't turnaround and beat us game 3. Know u want to blame Kobe feel free. But pretty sure youdont know MY team better than I do. OKC was better by over 6 games in the regular season beat us 2 of 3 in regular season head2head and won 4 of 5 in the playoffs. They are just better

Congrats to the Thunder and fans! Well-deserved series win!

Lakers give away 2 games with poor decisions and clutch play and only a couple players play with any heart in an elimination game. Lot’s of changes coming in the off season.

Pau actually came back with an effort in game 5 but Bynum gets a couple early fouls and decides to check out mentally by halftime. Pau is gone no doubt. Bynum, though having a decent year and going injury free again shows he does not have the mental makeup to be a consistent great. I have no doubts Drew will be playing with his Porches and toys tomorrow and saying something like “oh well, it happens, my life is good regardless”. I would not be surprised if he is also dealt.

World Peace was one of the few besides Kobe who plays with heart but will be gone as well due to financial and age considerations.

Sessions had the dream point guard job handed to him during the season and played decently. We all knew he wasn’t a star but felt he could hold his own and be a decent PG by giving the Lakers an element of speed at the position they so lacked. And for the most part he did during the season. Playoffs arrived and he wilted quicker than lettuce in the sun. He will not be a Laker next season.

Brown will unfortunately be given at least one more year if only for financial reasons. He did a decent job at developing the defense but his offensive game time adjustments and inability to motivate the one big advantage the Lakers had (Bynum & Gasol) on a consistent nightly basis was nothing short of pathetic.

Kobe had a good game but definitely was a reason in the two late game loss meltdowns that should have been wins. His trust issues need to be addressed as well as the supporting cast’s heart and effort issues. Win or lose, shoot great or terrible, you cannot deny that he at least brings it.

Good luck to the Spurs and Thunder. I have no doubts the winner of the WCF will win the title. The Parker vs. Westbrook matchup will be very interesting and will decide the series IMO.

Regardess… Do not let Boston win a title if they should luck out and get there.

Keep it in the WEST!!!!!

This series is on Kobe. No matter how you wanna scapegoat Pau or Drew.

It's been on Kobe since the start of the season.

Not really, not with Pau settling for shots from beyond the free throw line. In game 5, when he finally decided to attack the basket, it was already too late. Then you have Bynum, you know he's capable of delivering but then he has one of those games where he decides to play like he doesn't give a fuck. This series is definitely not all on Kobe.

Killakobe81
05-21-2012, 11:42 PM
Cop out, Killa. It's 3-1 if Kobe doesn't massively choke 2 games and it's over.

Cop out DPG, be a man like I did this weekend and admit you were wrong. Kobe choking doesn't change the fact we were not good enough. I told you geniuses that Pau had regressed, our bench was shallow and our 3pt shooting would come back to hurt us. You guys called the Kobe losing a step .. but were just wrong about how Good this team was el, was right, admit it. DPG can't make me celebrate shit just stating facts . I was.right you were wrong ... it happens get over yourself ...

Because there are always idiot GM's and retarded front office personel that will say something along the lines of... "they were stacked with those guys".

Sessions just wont have his option picked up.
Artest will be amnestied.
Pau or Bynum or both will be dealt. If you think they are garbage and cannot command some pieces in a trade, well your even dumber that I think you are and believe me, you are pretty damn dumb.

Oh but for 10-15 mins of dumb decisions and play down the stretch of games this series could have been compeltely different. The Lakers didnt step up and that's that.

I'll leave all the spinning and hating to you guys. Enjoy!

The Lakers need to diversify their offense. Having Bynum and Gasol together is fine, but not for this current team. They need to let Bynum have the paint offensively, trade Pau, get a PF who will defend, rebound and make open jumpers and find more perimeter players who can shoot to spread the floor for Bynum and Kobe. They're too congested with Bynum and Gasol because they don't have enough shooters.

They really need a SF who can shoot. Amnesty MWP, and make a strong push for Batum. His defense needs work, but he's 23, he can shoot and run the floor.

I agree about ASG, but come on Pau was good not great this year. top 10 players like Kobe, lose sometimes, especially to players ranked above him and to better teams. MJ, Lebron Ducan never lost to a better team? Your logic is almost as solid as Mugen's ...my have the mighty have fallen, simply because you (DPG) cant admit you were wrong ... tsk, tsk. :nope
