Wade & LeBron exploding for 30 point games. They have woken up. The last time we played them they whooped us bad because LeBron exploded in the 3rd. I don't feel too good about our chances...

If Bosh isn't back theres no way they beat us or the Thunder

They only have two scorers.

But yeah, we're playing the Thunder right now.

They're playing the Pacers lol, the east is incredibly weak, I doubt the Pacers could even beat the Nuggets.

Yes, the Heat are whining their way to a championship alright. Please, look at who they have played. The Clippers could have beaten the Heat. :whine

1. Hibbert isn't quick enough on defense

2. Pacers suck at passing

3. Pacers don't use their #1 adv on offense (size in the paint) enough, even when Hibbert isn't in foul trouble. Part of that has to do with #2 above.

The Pacers had the Heat where they wanted them. But all it may have taken to change the course of the entire playoffs is Lance Stephenson's immature choking gesture.

Thats why you have to love the class shown by the entire Spurs organization. They never give anyone bulletin board material.

We'll worry about the Heat if we meet them in the Finals. The Spurs (and us fans) should be concerned only with the Thunder now. 1 game at a time, just like Tim, Tony, Manu and Pop say.

I'm scared of the Heat getting to the rim and the line, and I fear the Thunder's mid range shooting capability

i'll worry about that bridge when we cross it. the thunder are gonna be a handful. though least the heat are playing up to their douchebag potential like the lakers. you always need villains like those teams.

It amazes me seeing people (and the media too) writing the Heat off. The 18 game win streak is nice and the Spurs level of basketball has been really beautiful to watch the last couple of months, but I still think the Heat are the team to beat.

Indiana is a much better team than the banged up Clippers..

Spurs-Heat would be a very good matchup, both teams would have significant advantages, but Miami hasn't even won their series vs. Indiana, yet, and if they do, they'll have to get past Boston..

Spurs still have an equally good OKC team in front of them, too..

It could easily happen, but both teams still have to make it through..

However, if the Spurs win their series, they would be much better off playing the Celtics in the Finals, they would beat them in 5 IMO..

Girls.

I'm enjoyin' the hell out of this run. They're a machine - it's a thing of beauty.

Someone's gonna have to play outta their mind or the Spurs will have to suffer a key injury.

Other than that, church.

Funny thing is, they played three times the last two years (Heat won 2 of 3) but none of the games were close.

The winning team in each game hit a ton of three-pointers.

Each of the games seemed like something of a fluke.

What all this tells us, I have no idea.

05-23-2012, 12:22 AM
Is there any reason the Spurs should fear the Heat any more than the Mavericks did last year (the Heat, I seem to recall, were quite heavily favored in that Finals matchup?)

Sure, the Heat may be a more complete team this year, but there's Bosh's injury, and even if that heals up completely in time for the Finals, the Spurs are arguably a much better team than last year's Mavericks.

Out of nowhere goods

:lmao

So beating up on the Jazz/Clippers is enough to vault this year's team over the defending champions?

Let's atleast see what happens now that you're playing non-cupcakes. The jury is still out. If you guys get past OKC/Miami, you can compare the two. Until then, you guys are still a glorified Phoenix Suns

OKC would have a much better chance of beating the Heat than the Spurs. Spurs would lose in 5 to a Miami team with Bosh. LBJ would avg a trip-dub against both teams, tho.

How about if we just worry about the next series. Let's get into the Finals before we start worrying about a team that may or may not even make it.

Bruno
05-23-2012, 12:41 AM
Yeah, the whole winner of Thunder/Spurs will win it all talk is weird.

Miami, providing Bosh came back, should still be considered as the favorite to win it all. Even if they are mental midgets and if their team is poorly build, they are too talented to be ruled out.

KaiRMD1

TBH, that was an atrocious game. The Heat will be lucky if they beat the Celtics.

Reck

If the Spurs and Heat meet in the finals it will probably be an ugly series.

Each time these two team play each other the result its a blowout for the winning team.

Why so scared? Even with Bosh returning, Heat still don't have enough firepower to defeat whichever teams comes out of the West. They rely too much on their Big 3 and seem to not have that X-factor that will put them in the position to win it all.

30 + 30 is still only 60. With the rest of that team, they'd have a hard time scraping up more than another 20-25 points. They also have absolutely no one to check Tony or Tim.

Spurs have to get passed the Thunder before they can worry about the Heat. Heat are going to have their hands full with Boston anyways.

I think it will end up being Spurs/Heat in the Finals though. Spurs win in six.

Spurs are playing the Thunder. OKC is a great team, so worry about them.

They won't get 16 layups against us and battier won't play good 4 times. Our concern will be the real big 3 lebron, wade and mostly stern.
