lol i was 10 at the time...played this on the sega megadrive only had like 4 games in my collection mk 1 +3 and nba showdown 94 and live 98 thats all i needed

Still remember gasping in awe at high schooler types figuring out fatalities, and trying to memorize what they pressed.

I got my bike stolen while playing this game (MK1) at the corner store, walk home mad and then found a few quartes and walk right back to the store.

I remember my big bro playing the shit out of this game and knowing all the fatalities ... I never got into fighting games but MK is so universal even people who didn't play much get their nostalgia strings tugged.
