Kobe shouldn't be in the 1st team All-NBA tbh

Happy for Tony and his first 2nd team selection, though I think he should've been on the 1st team instead of Kobe this year. He's been more productive and won a LOT more. Dude's barely lost a game this year after the first 21 games of the season where the Spurs struggled due to multiple injuries.

Congrats! Worth of the 2nd team at least

I like Parker for first team over Kobe, but I don't think it's straight up robbery. Worst part of the first team: could we push Kevin Love to center to keep Dwight Howard off?

Melo on the third team seems like the worst travesty given that he was only good for part of the season. Then again, that also describes Dirk.

Congrats to Tony, well deserved. Great season and great playoffs so far. But I think that Tim should have taken Chandler´s place in the third team. He is still productive in reduced minutes and so far he is looking like the Tim of old this postseason.

Kevin Love was robbed. Tony has a case for 1st team but still happy that he made the 2nd. Now let's go get #5. Go Spurs.

I'm bummed. I honestly thought he'd get the recognition of being part of the 1st team mostly for the fact that he was in the top5 MVP conversation... unfair TBH

TP robbed as expected, and Blake Griffin being on the 2nd team is a joke. When a player is surprised that they made a jump shot outside of 8 feet they shouldnt be on an all nba team. Tim's efficiency this year has been off the charts, the only thing that kept him off is the minutes he played. Oh well popularity contest I guess.

Parker really didn't have a chance for first team because Kobe and CP3 finished above him in the MVP rankings. Second team is pretty damn good honor and helps his HOF bid.

Congrats :tu

Only five Spurs have been named to the All-NBA First Team or Second Team:

Tim Duncan 12 times
George Gervin 9 times
David Robinson 6 times
Alvin Robertson 1 time

and now Tony Parker

I am surprised Manu did not make it atleast one of those years when he was on top of his game! Oh well.

Im happy for Tony to have a great season be rewarded like that. I was expecting him to be robbed by Wade.

We went through some of this when TP made the All-Star team, but . . .

Tony Parker is now one of only 22 players in pro basketball history to have won at least 3 titles, to have made at least 4 all-star teams, and to have been named all-league at least twice.

Of the 22, only 3 are active (Parker, Bryant, Duncan).

Of the 19 who are retired, all 18 who are eligible for the Hall of Fame have been enshrined (only Shaq, who isn't yet eligible, hasn't).

Tim not even in 3rd team is a big rob. Anybody can tell me in face that Griffin, Melo and Chandler are better than Tim, even just for regular season?

rofl Kobe and Melo with so much love out there. Both stupid clunkers.

And if any center isnt worth being in all nba 1st team, dont put Howard in it... Love and Blake got so much better season.

I know Tyson Chandler is a top end defender and all, but that's what the All-Defense team is for, so Chandler on the 3rd team is pretty dubious IMO. Duncan's P/40 averages were better - across the board - than Chandler, INCLUDING blocked shots, and his PER was significantly higher. The All-NBA teams should be for the most complete players.

They were centers. Griffin is theoretically a 4.

The espn article lists all 5 members of the 1st team, all 5 members of the 3rd team, and FOUR of the 2nd team!!! They left Parker's name off, the only one of the 15 players on all the teams!

I took a picture of it in case they change it but opted not to post it cuz Carroll and espn may think ST is out for plagiarism revenge.

Good for Tony, but Duncan should have made the third team. This season all his stats are better compared to the previous one, also the Spurs had an very successful RS.

:lol Wade third team
:lol TD 21

I said Durant clearly had a better season and that Wade is breaking down and has the best player in the league on his team, so he's at the point now where he flat out paces himself during the regular season, which makes sense.

Only an idiot would base their opinions on these ridiculous awards though . . . that's why I'm not the least bit surprised that you do. By the way, how's your proclamation/prediction working out for you? You know, the one where you claimed that the Spurs aren't in the Thunder's league and that only a homer would think they're better. :lol

timvp, by that logic, how did Chandler not make 1st team All-defense? Let's face it, Parker not beating out Bryant had nothing to do with the MVP rankings and everything to do with cache, star power and ass kissing.

Duncan not making the third team is beyond a joke. Whether as a center or a forward (if they want to keep that nonsense up), he should have easily finished ahead of Nowitzki, Anthony and Chandler. And it's official: Gasol the younger just authored one of the most overrated seasons in the history of the league. He lived off of the hype of one series against an injured player for an entire season, culminating in him damn near making the All-NBA team. Unbelievable.

Oh wait...I found a quote...it happens to be the one where I said the Thunder can be beaten.

There is also the fact that the West is really a toss up. OKC is the only true front runner and they are beatable.
You're faggotry knows no ends. From your arguing with yourself to your attempts at challenging other people and conventional wisdom with *insert shit take here* it's pretty damn hilarious watching you run in circles trying to be impressive when no one really gives a fuck.

Unfortunately, your post history only goes back to May 3rd and I know for a fact that you said this relatively early in the season. Not surprisingly, you're not man enough to admit it. I distinctly remember you foolishly making fun of me when I told you the Spurs were better. You dismissed it off hand, proving once and for all that you don't know shit. Yet you continue to run your mouth like you're one of the more knowledgeable posters.

05-24-2012, 06:57 PM
Early in the season. :lol

The Spurs weren't beating anyone with that lineup that they started the season with. If you seriously thought otherwise than you are an even bigger dumbass than you have already advertised. I made a thread proclaiming them contenders in March...even before we knew how good Diaw was going to be.

Lord, can you spend just five seconds not being a faggot?

I have stated that in my opinion Tony Parker was the MVP of the league this year.

For him not to be first team all NBA is a joke.

I wouldn't want him around my wife, but the guy had an amazing season.

Parker should be First Team. Two great seasons back two back.
