Aldridge definitely deserved it over Dirk.

The PPG are similar but Aldridge was way more efficient

Seriously they put Bynum and Chandler and Griffin up there that high? Unbelievable. All three have looked real bad in the playoffs where it counts. Yes Griffin was dinged up but mainly his lack of anything close to a complete skill set was highlighted. Bynum IMO only plays when he feels like it.

If I got to pick a team I'd go with M. Gasol at center or LaMarcus or even Gortat. Here's a scary thought: any of those 3 on the Lakers instead of Bynum. They come to play every night.

The vote was before the playoffs even started.

Kobe not a contender even though he has two top 5 bigs, a second all nba team center/all star center when he himself is all nba first team and defensive team :lmao

Well this was a regular season award last I checked.

It doesn't get much more retarded than, "I can't believe he was first all-NBA, he's been horrible during the playoffs!"

Of course I know that. My point is the voters are stupid to give the award to players who have obvious issues that are going to be exposed in a playoff series. How valuable is a player who is like that? Get a little insightful on your analysis MVP voters. Anyone with a brain could see Griffin or Bynum or Carmelo were not going to be valuable to their teams when the important stuff happens.

The voters are supposed to vote based on who had the best 2011-2012 regular season, not on who is most likely to have the best 2011-2012 playoffs. That's what the award is about. Why is that such a hard concept to wrap your brain around?

What is Valuable? It's not so clear. I have an opinion.

Oh well who cares anyway. Just a stupid award.
