Didn't want to just hid this in an already started thread, and not sure if this has been covered- however, if San Antonio goes on to win the title this season, Tim Duncan will become the first player to win a championship in three different decades in all 3 major sports!

Wouldn't this put his name above Kobe and Shaq's and put him right there with Jordan, Bird and Magic?

Granted, I still think Timmy deserves all the credit in the world for being the best player on his teams, not some scrub like Sally who road the pine for 2 of those championships.

Yeah, I guess i could say as a marquee player! Maybe Timmy could be the first to win NBA Finals MVP's in 3 decades?

Yogi Berra and his rings from 1947, 1949, 1950-53, 1956, 1958, and 1961-62 say hi.

So do Joe DiMaggio (30's, 40's, 50's) and Babe Ruth (10's, 20's, and 30's) to just name a few.

No one will ever come close to Jordan...not even sure why you'd even think about saying that.
