But you got to ask me how we're going to come at them. We're a tough team as well. We come out and play hard.
They don't ask you that KD cause what player reveals their own game plan to reporters before the game?

ehh... I dont see anything wrong with what he said. I would get annoyed too if almost every question was about the competition right after my team beat the Lakers. Having said that, I think this is going to push him into hero-mode and that might not be a bad thing for the Spurs if they can play some reasonable defense on him.
With the combination of TP's misquotes about Westbrook and now this.... it could be a clusterfuck for the Thunder if they individually buy into the hype. They are a young team still and we still got DAYS before the series starts... If this keeps up, I could see them trying to force things that they shouldnt be trying to do to beat the Spurs.

"The Spurs might not get quite as many questions about the Thunder as the Thunder have gotten about the Spurs"
He missed yesterday's practice interviews..

However, since Dominos said it instead, everybody will downplay it..

Yahoo's headlines are so fucking stupid. They take something a players says and they twist it into something adversarial in order to get readers. First it's the "RWB hasn't seen a point guard like me" which was never uttered out of TP's mouth, now it's this shit.

Exactly... but Im sure they (Thunder) keep up with the press too... they arent immune.... This could be a good thing for the home team.

spurs are in the heads of thunder
durant they haven't lost in a couple of months
it has not been a couple of months
lol I love it
spurs have lost to the spurs without the big three and lakers with the big three then revenge and killed the lakers the next 2 games against them
spurs are on a roll

Considering LeBron's not playing the Spurs yet, he would earn a lot of hate for saying something like Durant did :downspin:
How the hell did LeBron find his name in this thread anyway? ;)

I don't know. I'm starting to think there's at least a possibility that one of the role players steps up big in that series and takes it. Obviously Parker is the most likely suspect. But somebody like Danny Green could scrap together some big games, accented by critically timed shots, and walk away with that award. Honestly, it'd probably be fitting.

It wouldn't surprise me if, say, Game 2 became known as The Danny Green Game, but I would be very surprised if one of our role players became the player of the series.

Durant will be fielding a lot more questions about the spurs in the coming weeks.Get used to it Kevin
:lol legend, tbh..
Gold, tbh. :lol
Back on topic,
I dont mind him saying that. I'd get annoyed with all the questions these reporters ask all the time.
And lets not forget, Tony Parker did fired first so all cheap shots are fair.

IF we get that far, I wouldnt doubt it if Duncan and Parker both pass up the MVP award to give it to Manu.... just because.
Thats how I felt about Parker winning it in 2007.... I thought Duncan had it locked and it was just a nice gesture of him to pass it to Tony.
Thats not a knock on Tony at all, or Manu... This is plain and simply a team... I dont think any of the big 3 care for individual awards and are more than willing to pass the goods around.
Having said that, Manu needs to get his shit together and earn it! :lol

Kevin Durant thinks the NBA is stupid for the long delay before West Finals
Since we're all just making up headlines unrelated to what the players say...

So we get a glimpse into why Pop hates reporters.
Two very good teams with very different styles meet.
The aforementioned apparently does not excite the public, gotta have something personal so make stuff up. Tired and so boring.

yeah, durant didn't say that.
here's what durant said:
"I'm just going to play my game," Durant started. "I can't really think about how those guys are going to defend me. They're a tough defensive group. But every question is about how the Spurs are going to come and how the Spurs are going to play. But you got to ask me how we're going to come at them. We're a tough team as well. We come out and play hard. We have a lot of weapons as well. I know they're the No. 1 seed, they're a tough group and they haven't lost in a couple of months but I think that we bring another dimension to the table as well. And we can come out and compete."

I have a lot of admiration for their team. But they're not as offensively balanced. Westbrook to get his has to take a lot of shots. He's not going to be easy to defend but he's going to have a headache dealing with TP every game. Look at the last time they played TP blew by him and Westy couldn't defend the pick and roll a lick. I'm really not as scared of him at all. Durant is Durant. I still stick by my thoughts and say 5 games.

You're a Spurs and Thunder fan. LMAO. :rollin
More than anything, what Durant's doing is buying into an "us against the world" mentality that drives so many athletes. When basketball players feel disrespected, they gain a competitive advantage. Durant might be blowing this issue out of proportion, but it's also the sort of thing that athletes do all the time. What's interesting in this case is that, given the likely competitiveness of this series, the Thunder could become the favorite after one game. Durant might feel disrespected now, but he could also be the toast of the league in a week.
Game 1, more than ever, is key.

People are overrating Harden a bit. What annoys me is that what Harden is kind of doing now, Manu had done it for ten years, yet very few talk about it.

Good grief, in that case KD had better hope and pray they don't advance to play Miami.
