Have lost in the Conference Finals...
:toast here's to hoping the Spurs' can break that pattern...
IIRC Last to do so were Lebron's '08-'09 [66-16] Cavaliers...
They swept Detroit in the 1st Rd.
They swept Atlanta in the 2nd Rd.
Then they dropped Game 1 of the Conference Finals at home to Orlando... ended up losing that series 4-2.

Historically since being re-located and re-named, the Oklahoma City Thunder have a 100% loss rate when they reach the Western Conference Finals.
Whoa sweet!!1!!1 History is on our side!!!!

In 1998, the Spurs had never become national champions. Therefore they still have not.

No team with Boris Diaw on it has ever won an NBA title.
We're doomed. :depressed

Who is surprised that it's the Spurs and Thunder, and the Heat and probably the Celtics. Who cares what happened in the first two series. Now the real playoffs begin.
Spurs or Thunder will be NBA champs. The loss of Bosh is too much for the Heat who will beat the Celtics.

Hopefully the Spurs don't get stung by the curse then. :lol

Seriously, this. The east is always watered down as hell, so it doesn't surprise me when teams blow past the first round or two then lose in the 2nd round. The first round, and sometimes even the second are always a wash in that conference. The biggest upset you even see if 5 over 4 unless a superstar blows out a knee late in the season. Top east teams practically never get beat by lower ones since there's basically never 8 good teams in the east at any given time.
Thunder are 8-1 anyway, so I doubt there's any lame "historic karma" working against us for going 8-0 instead of 8-1.
Unless Ginobili gets horse collared by Perkins or Westbrook after a steal and fast break attempt and gets a dislocated shoulder after hitting the ground, I think we're in good shape against OKC.

Lebrons Cavs LOL!!!
God the East was bad.. Still is...Yeah...I thought it would get better when the Knicks got revamped but evidently not. Seems like Miami is going to dominate that conference for years to come as Boston is just getting old now.
