Q. Duncan, obviously, was probably the player most affected by the change in offensive philosophies. I mean, he won four championships playing another way. How accepting was he of this switch?

Budenholzer: “It’s basically impossible if your franchise player and the most important player for the last 10 or 15 years is not in agreement. If he’s not on board, and he’s not buying in, you’re going to have problems. There will be friction. Without him, none of this could happen. He’s amazing that way.

Is this most of the difference between the Spurs and the Lakers?
