If Timmy hits just half of his lay-ins, and they call that goaltend, this is a double digit win.

The Spurs came out cold, Fisher was near perfect shooting, and they hit all their 3's in the last minute. None of those things will repeat. Game 2 is going to be a first class ass-kicking by the Spurs.

This game was similar to game 1 Clips v Spurs - both teams showed up rusty and out of sorts and it was close at the half. The difference today was that rather than finding their sync in the 3rd Q, today the Spurs found their flow in the 4th. Superb lockdown D and shot-making in the 4th.

This was a team win for sure. Tim and Tony both had sub-par games due to the focus of the Thunder being almost totally on them. That is as it should be. It doesn't mean that Tim and Tony were not playing as well as anyone could against that kind of defense.

But Ginobili was the MVP.

And that is what is so great about this team...shut down one or even two and WHAM...they still beat you!!

It's a compliment. He's been playing so well the Thunder paid extra attention to him. He's never had to contend with that before. He'll adjust.

He's got to make up for it on the defensive end if shots aren't falling.

Bonner is so freaking useless. Jax hasn't been shooting well but he makes a huge 3 pointer. Bonner shoots 45% but can't make them when it counts.

Notice how we played frenetically (almost looked panicked) for most of the first 3 Qs, then in the 4th slowed down just a touch and played tough and fast but not out of control? That was the rust wearing off. Rust is all about the fact that practice doesn't prepare you for the pace of the game, and when you have a long rest then play a tough team you try to do things too quickly, over-compensate.

I think the Thunder may have just lost the series by losing game 1. The Spurs were rusty. They weren't adjusted to the Thunder's defense and pace. They turned the ball over like crazy and they missed alot of freethrows. They're not going to send Durant to the line like crazy. It was their best chance to win and they couldn't.

Bonner is a problem for me. I said at half time that I wasn't sure if we can play him in the second half. He missed all his shots and I am pretty sure the Thunder scored off of every miss. It also seemed like the Thunder got a gazillion rebounds when he was in the game.

Did any of you hear Brooks' postgame comments? He said they have to keep Manu from getting easy 3's the next game. Did he even see the shots he took? Well, any ways, if they want to defend the perimeter better on him then Manu should just pump fake and drive to the basket more and get to the foul line. They have no real answer for Manu except for Harden to fight Manu's offense with some of his own. I like our chances with Manu winning that battle.

The Thunder also showed that they are never out of a game and they just continue to hit shots. That's gotta be a reason for the Spurs pressing in the first three quarters. They know the Thunder are capable of hitting shots so it's really hard to get any seperation from them. Spurs were trying too hard to get seperation.

Edit : And fuck Russell Westbrook. Fucking clown. Just read Timvps post that said he blamed the refs. If that's the case then fuck these losers. I thought the Thunder got too many touch fouls at the end of the game and that clown is blaming the refs??????

If Neal or Splitter had made a single shot they didn't make all year, I'd be inclined to agree. The only person on the team who hit a fluky shot was Parker hitting the three, and Bonner, Green and Leonard flukily missed shots they typically make.
