Now the spurfan who goes to the games are way too fat and have their mouths full to be able to cheer, thus the fake crowd noise and defense chant through the speakers.

I remember attending games in the Alamodome - it was awesome when the crowd really got into it. Louder than any other arena.

I remember that game. We had company, so we actually turned the game off because we thought the Spurs were going to lose. Stupid us - and then a friend told us the Spurs had come back to win, and I was mad that we had missed it!

At the time, I remember people complaining about the dome because Hemisfair was so much louder.
